Description

This is one of my favorite romance stories, both main characters are absolutely endearing an well rounded. The story is heart-moving, interesting, exciting, thrilling, it is easy to relate to the characters, sex is a plus not a main.
I'm a straight girl and I find this absolutely amazing, if you like good romance, whether you're straight or not give it a try.

Note* There's a lot going on about trivializing rape, I think this is nothing more than a fantasy, and that in this particular context (of this story and erotic stories in general...) it doesn't exist the final component of REAL rape, which is simply that there's a victim who ABSOLUTELY doesn't want sex, and an aggressor who ABSOLUTELY doesn't give a sh*it about it.
Spoiler volume 1:

The one who was forced ended up (almost) accepting that he liked the forcer and that he preferred him in his life rather than out of it and actually chose to keep having sex instead of loosing him. It kind of translates as 'I like you, but I'm in denial, and if you wouldn't have forced me I couldn't have dealt with my feelings' so... Reason enough for me.

this story has a good art and a plot that though not so unique and original, is presented in a very appealing way to the reader. the slow progression of the relationship of the main characters is satisfying and justifies the depth of their emotions.
I read some comments that say this story was dragging on,but I find it much more logical and natural that a straight guy would resist getting into a homosexual relationship.

it is true that the denial and resistance of the uke kind of gets annoying at some points in the story, but if you're looking for a more serious type of relationship in a story, rather than "fast" relationships, and don't mind a little exaggeration an silliness, then you will probably enjoy this.

Whenever I want to read something that I know will make me all watery-eyed and twisted inside, whenever I want to read something that touches me deeply, whenever I want to read something that makes me giggle...

I pick up this story. Over and over!

My heart bleeds for poor, puppy-dog Morinaga every single time I reread the chapters that are available. The tension and development is intense in scene layout, art and story telling.

In my top 3 yaois of all time, Koisure Boukun earned its place from the very first chapter. I started reading it when vol 5 was out and waited patiently for each chapter to be released. Now in 2017, however, I feel like despite the time passed, Tatsumi's feelings haven't developed into love.

We see him trying to compromise with Morinaga (my pure, innocent baby) but he still identifies as straight, he avoids the issue addressing their relationship, he hasn't initiated intimate contact since the last chapter of vol 8 and that was an one-time-thing only. Literally, the only thing that has changed was Tatsumi's pleasure points and he gets to have the best from both worlds at this point.

Morinaga, who has always met selfish partners his whole life, cannot even hope to find a partner that loves him back for who he is and this breaks my heart even more. He was so happy that Senpai remembers his name now, that he tries to explain some of his actions even though in the past he didn't bother at all. He brightens up with the simpliest things and this is sooo angsty for me as a reader.

Morinaga gets to "sleep" with him only after a lot of sweet-talking, going on and on about how kind Senpai is and how much he loves him and in return he gets to have sex with no real feelings attached, where he does all the hard work ina body-worshiping kind of way, and even if they happen to sleep together after the act, Senpai hits him and acts cold as soon as he wakes up under the guise of being shy and not comfortable enough. I expected more things from Tatsumi.

However, at this point, even though Morinaga swallowed all these insults and abuse and apologized to Tatsumi a thousand times (he replies with an "I'm sorry" almost every other panel) for being gay or for wanting more and even though Morinaga confessed in the most endearing ways and had tons of sex with Tatsumi, it breaks my heart that the only thing he has accomplished is being Senpai's assistant at work, housekeeper and personal whore in bed. He deserves a lover that feels the same way and treats him kindly and passionately and acts stupid-in-love.

Since Morinaga is my personal favourite, I can only wait to see how Takagana-sensei can resolve this situation in a positive way. As a fan, I'm very dissatisfied with how things are atm.

Well, I pretty much feel exactly like "streetwalker", this persons comment was exactly what i think so i won't repeat ^^ But honestly i do want to repeat that the stuff about blackmail and rape is so not true. It's only the very first time it can be considered rape, since at that time Souichi was too weak to resist, but the other times have nothing to with rape or blackmail. You cannot blackmail a person by saying that you will leave them if you don't get your will, seriously. And Souichi says a million times that if he was blackmailed by anyone else, he wouldn't let them do anything. And honestly Souichi is not a weakling or a girly guy, if he seriously didn't want to do it with morinaga, he would have kicked his ass and choked/stabbed him or something like that, but he didn't! So obviously it's not rape, neither is it blackmail, it's all just an excuse for him letting morinaga do that stuff with him without resisting, just like "streetwalker" said, it's not that he doesn't want it, it's that he doesn't want to want it and therefore, the excuse of him being "blackmailed" and "raped". And also whenever morinaga looks at him that special way Souichi always gets all flustered and blushes and all that. Not exactly how you would act if some bastard who had been raping you several times looked at you lovingly -__-

So seriously, i don't understand why some people are writing those sort of lies in these comments, it's like they haven't even read the manga!

So to those people that were thinking of reading it, READ IT and you'll understand that it's a totally great, cute and hilarious manga, that doesn't have the usual rape=love plot that so many yaoi mangas have! Honestly, it's really great in every way and every chapter is entertaining! 😀

This is one of the best yaoi manga out there! Like seriously man!!! The emotion and hard ships Morinaga goes through is so heart wrenching!!! And in a way I'm glad Souichi isn't an easy man to turn over. Like if he wasn't then there'll be no meaning to the title XD Plus, as Morinaga's brother mentioned, it's not easy to just change your sexuality, so for someone as uptight as Souichi, it'll take wayy longer to 'change over.' So I'd say that the realism in this section is respectable. Yeah the story goes around in circles but I love the series anyways so I don't really want it to end. ;_) And the humor is sooo funny, the whole manga is just soooo cute!!! I already think it's already a masterpiece. I just hope the new chaps doesn't ruin the feels I have for the 'ending' right now.

While I find most Takanaga-senseis work quite dull this one was fun. It had story and characters had emotion and stuff (as I said I find her other works dull)
Even if it starts off as "rape" I find the story quite ok. And to defend the poor dude Morinaga was drunk and Souichi was indeed at fault too.
From that on it's typical Uke-in-denial story. It's not like he's raping him all the time, (if that was true then all uke-in-denial manga is rape). He didn't really have to sleep with him (the reason he did was a bit wtf though). And even if it took him friggin 7 volumes but it ended up well.

Comedy is quite good and art is great. Story is not really believable but it's ok with me, I liked it.

Makes you think about the line between love and friendship

Not much I can say that hasn't been said. There's some non-con issues so I can understand how it could give some people squick. But really compared to SO many other yaoi this is practically a romance, just with one person extremely, extremely uncomfortable with his sexuality. Though that's just one interpretation, it's the one I prefer. I have read various takes on Souichi's feelings and actions but ultimately people seem to agree this is a compelling manga that makes you think about the lines between love and friendship. I personally really enjoyed it because it was funny, had good characters, great artwork and great sex.

I only wish there was one more chapter.

I've been in love with this since the very beginning~! No...since the DESCRIPTION already!!
First of all, Tsundere characters are just my type! BUT, as a bonus, the seme isn't stupid either! For some reason, in every yaoi manga either the seme sucks or the uke does. Here this doesn't happens! Morinaga is actually quite a perv, but his strong feelings are sweet at the same time. And this just made me realize that...I DO like clingy semes! Running to their ukes like dogs is actually quite cute. But at the same time, struggling with his feelings, but also being pushy when he needs to, for lack of response coming from Souichi...he's perfect!

The couple is adorable since the first time they have that "forceful" sex, and it's really hot even so! But I don’t understand how people can call what happens in yaoi rape. It’s NOT rape. It’s forceful, sure it is, but Souichi LETS Morinaga do it, even if it’s only because he can’t resist the pleasure. He’s weakened by the drug, but he didn’t honestly ask Morinaga to stop, he just struggled like he does even when they’re together afterwards. Rape is what Masaki did to Kunihiro, because then Kunihiro didn’t have a choice.

Anyways, I found myself smiling for no reason while reading this ^^
Normally, I don't like it when the main subject of the couple is sex, but in "Koisuru Boukun" Takanaga-sensei actually managed to make it cute and funny, so every single time they're in bed is like the first time ♥
It DOES have a lot of sex, but it’s not like it’s a bad thing. It’s the exact opposite, because each time makes Souichi get more into it and slowly acknowledge he won’t be able to escape his feelings much longer. Also, Takanaga-sensei’s made those scenes so sexy and caring that’s impossible not to love even when it happens that many times. It’s not meaningless, it’s an important part of their relationship, and each time is unique and changes a lot of things between them, even if subtle.

Also, I like that their relationship is unrequited at first and gets deeper little by little. It makes it more intense this way, to see Souichi slowly realizing he’s in love with Morinaga.
What I think is most interesting is that we, readers, can see the exact moment when Souichi falls for Morinaga: when Morinaga threatens to leave town. And Morinaga doesn’t realize it because Souichi himself hasn’t. But he wouldn’t do so much as have SEX only to stop his so-called friend from going away, unless he loved him. But a series of things have to happen before he can start to really feel something’s “weird” – as he calls it - with him.

It's incredible how Takanaga-sensei can make it so long and still interesting, not boring at all! That's because it always lacks something from Souichi, so we keep expecting him to do just a little more effort and don't mind waiting. Of course, you do have to be patient, but it makes you yearn for it. Can you imagine Souichi’s face when he finally says he loves Morinaga?! I can’t wait. The way it’s developed makes it more similar to reality, too. The characters are SO tridimensional that you actually believe it would take them this long to get together, so it couldn’t be any shorter.

I also L.O.V.E.D how Kunihiro and Masaki ended up! Although Masaki is an idiot, he got to be my favorite character.

I haven’t read “Challengers” yet because I don’t like the main couple and it didn’t really seem appealing to me, but I will eventually have to, only to understand more about Morinaga and Souichi.

I’ve always liked Takanaga-sensei’s work, but this is by far her best manga. I cried and laughed all along it, felt the characters’ emotions…I didn’t think I’d love it that much when I first started reading it. I thought it would be just another ordinary yaoi that’d spent some time on and then forget. But I’ve read a LOT of yaoi and this one is pretty new and original. Among all yaois I’ve ever read, this is one of my favorites, and I’m really picky, so that means a lot!
The situation where the uke is only gay for the seme isn’t uncommon, but the way Souichi resists for such a long time and is so stubborn is beautiful.

Also, the art is beautiful too, simply amazing~!

PS: I LOVE Igarai. He’s always scheming and is cute and nice and helps Morinaga and Souichi’s relationship in his own way! I wish there was a story only for him…

Greatest Work

So far, aside from Bukiyou na Silent (incomplete), this manga is the greatest work of Takanaga Hinako-sama so far. Aside from the hot and somehow irritating story and events, it's kinda cute to watch the conversion process of "forcing" a non-homo (on top of that, a homo hater) to become one. XD
