I get it, something like shoujo manga?
Have you read anything by David Eddings? It's quite good fantasy with a guaranteed happy ending. I suppose you could like it, if you like Lackey.

If the English translation of that one is "Kafka on the Shore", and the author's name is generally romanized as Murakami Haruki, then yeah, I've read it. It was very interesting, but also rather disturbing (on several levels). All of Murakami's books are on the odd side, IMO, but I'm enjoying reading them.

Harry Potter Trilogy (Joanne K. Rowling)
Her first name is Joanne? 😲 Well, I guess I know now 🤣
I love Harry Potter too! Actually they're about the only books I'll ever read by choice (with some exceptions) 🙄

You know, I read somewhere that the reason why she uses JK Rowling is because the publisher said it would be more favorable toward male readers.

Yeah, the publishers didn't want the male audience to be turned off by the idea of a female writer. Her full name is Joanne Rowling, she doesn't actually have a middle name. Kathleen (the 'K', in J.K., obviously) is actually her grandmother's name.
Oh, and why are you calling it a trilogy? Trilogy means three, but there are seven books.

Just finished Hardboiled Wonderland and The End of the World by Murakami Haruki (English translation, from the local library). Another confusing mind-twister that actually made sense (mostly) by the end, I recommend it.
And with that, I think I've read all the Murakami that's readily available to me. 😢

Except in the case of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, which is in fact a trilogy of 5 books.
Oh, and why did you type "there is seven books" when "is" would imply a single book, yet you obviously realize there are seven?
