That's Coober Pedy. It's an opal mining community in the middle of the desert. It's very possible that they do have the same biased view point that we do. But, last time I was wondering on the existence of "love hotels" and they actually exist! There are so many things that we perceive as taboo, which is why it seems so unreal to be portrayed as the birth country of a "devilish" "flirtatious" and "very sexual" person. I think these beliefs come from the fact that we are the west. But a lot of my beliefs at least, do not come from the fact that they are from the Orient (which I would think are more patriarchal and dominant of women), but actually from their manga culture, which often discusses teen sexuality as something rather normal, not that it isnt, but it's obviously not seen as much of a taboo as we see it. (just how many manga have you read that talk about the so called love hotels?)

i say Japan is one of the most perverted country if not the most perverted and reason i say tht is cuz yesterday i was surfin the net lookin at news about japan and stuff...and i found out tht 70% of women ridin the train in japan get "touched" and molestated by men. when i saw tht i was somewhat surprised and somewhat not. also i found out tht cuz of tht...now japanese government has trains jus for women to ride so they are save from the molestators. i also found out tht 4000 men get arrested every year in japan for molestation charges...but im not sure if the numbers are accurate but dam thts a lot of perverted mens. also i dont kno if the percentage is rite bout this but about 15% of those 70% women tht get molestated get raped in train...man thts messed up...its f-ed up in japan man....even if the numbers are not accurate, they hav to be somewhat around tht range to make tht assumation. so thts why i say Japan is the most perverted country cuz the men are jus too freakin perverted. i was shocked tht 70%, thts jus crazy 😲
