Best endings

Devilman had a quite an epic ending.
Ichi the Killer also had a very satisfying ending to me.
Loved how Ichi was living his life at the end, just as a normal fellow, while the dead gangster's kid is being groomed into another Ichi.
Dragon Ball ended very well. Even though the last dozen or so volumes were pretty wishy washy, I think the last arc ended the series in a way that stayed true to the spirit of everything that had come before it.

Friedrich Nietzsche (1844 - 1900) - "Man is more ape than many of the apes."
Jean-Paul Sartre - "You are--your life, and nothing else."
Henrik Ibsen - "The majority is always wrong; the minority is rarely right."

if there is an option between "to do" and "not to do", I will always choose the latter.

Are we talking about just manga endings?
Well, the best manga endings I've read so far have probably been, Fullmetal Alchemist, Holyland and Onani Master Kurosawa.
However I also liked the endings of these Visual Novels, G-Senjou no Maou (True Ending) and Deardrops (True Ending).

Angel Densetsu, Blue Drop - Tenshi no Bokura, Change 123, Devi Navi, Hot Blooded Woman, Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro, Usotsuki Mi-kun to Kowareta Ma-chan Totteoki no Uso. I like happy ends, but I prefer when the story show that people can deal with not everything going their way.

Best ending I've seen (which doesn't necessarily equal 'happy') is from the anime Cowboy Bebop.
Epic, heart-rending, transcendent...

IT WAS AMAZING. My mind literally exploaded.
I finished the series and once I was done I just picked up volume 1 again to re read just because it was so CRAZY. Loved it.
Korosareru nara, Isso Sakura no Ki no Shita de
Although it was a fairly mediocre read the end was very unexpected for me and really sold the whole series.

I like time-lapse endings. Gives you time to imagine and insert your own "what if" scenario between the last chapter and the final chapter.

Right, replying to and old thread (Should I have just made a new one? I don't recall reading up on encountering these situations on the FAQs/Forum Rules. Apologies for this mistake, if so.)
I just reread Teppuu and always felt that the ending was just so appropriate and relatable in a way. Everything the protagonist stood for, fought for, and looked forward to condensed in the last few lines felt so in character and just so visceral,
instead of opting for a change in character, or even sudden character growth that I see all too often in dragged out stories.

Well it's a more a case of, what is the worth of reviving a thread this old.
Replying to questions and recommendations asked for 6+ years will probably help nobody.
What is totally fine is asking for more recommendations in a thread someone started a long time ago if you are basically looking for the same thing. That also means that people don't need to go over the same recommendations that were already given again, because you already saw them in that thread.
In your case it's not a mistake though, it's more like you want to vent your feelings on a certain topic (though it's unlikely you are getting much in form of a response or visibility on it, usually things like these get posted in the corresponding sub-forum for that title)
Some people don't like "piggybacking" threads, like I usually close out my requests to circumvent that, but often with old threads the original author isn't even active anymore, so it doesn't really matter...
