Yun Kouga's art, although beautiful, isn't exactly conventional ~ but it is able to demonstrate emotion much better than more mainstream artistic styles.
One Piece is totally overrated. But seems like most people agree on that. 🤣

**No. **Personally, Oda deserves all the credit he can get. 😐 ppl cant just judge onepiece based on the earlier volumes...or the Art or the screwed concept of 'Nakama' and the stereotypical definition of 'Pirates'. Honestly, I am one of those rabid fans who are really really into Oda's masterpiece.
The most overrated manga? The One..the first three volumes are a BIG MESS UP.. VK is also, overrated..with the whole bishie love triangle thing.

Agree on TC and VK.
Viewfinder is the best smut yaoi for me, so I can't complain.

Naruto is a good time, but in america it has a large following that refuses to acknowledge any other animanga and i hate it when people dont branch out.
Basically any series that has people that ONLY read that one series is overrated imho.
and one piece may not be the most godly manga ever, but it is a lot better than naruto and bleach, and shouldnt be so consistently compared to those two.

The Bride of the Water God: The drama in the story was interesting at first, kept me wanting to read more but seriously, what the author is trying to do now is throwing in every dramatic scenario that can happen. The plot is really hard to swallow now. Can things get even more complicated? Sure the art is awesome but when all the drama needs to end, it has to end. I find a lot of Korean manhwa authors more often just randomly one after another throwing in random plot disasters/dramatic plots into the story to prolong the manhwa and that is a huge turnoff for me. Just throwing in random dramatic plots is not really creative and not realistic.
Most popular shojo titles I find overrated but The Bride of the Water God is top of the list. It used to be one my favorites and I though it to be a promising manhwa but not anymore. Kind of saddens me too. 😔

Naruto. I used to be a huge fan, still read it a bit. However, you ask the average fan and they will think Kishimoto is the second coming of Christ or something. The Bleach fans are just as bad. Elfen Lied is really overrated too. People say "OMG the plot and characters are deep!", but it's your basic moe bullcrap, only with more blood and gore.

Naruto, Bleach, Fruits Basket, Death Note, Kuroshitsuji are all ones I've tried and didn't understand why they are so popular.
They are popular for a reason, so they are not terrible, just not as good as I expected for the attention they get.
However just because something is popular doesn't mean it's not worth your time, so don't make assumptions 🙂

I think about all shoujo mangas are overrated except for Nana. They are all very very similar in art and story.. Alot of Manwhas are also alike, but there are a few that really stand out. Like Shin Angyo Onshi. Oh yeah, and i think Negima is overrated too..

Yeah, I think One Piece is overall better than Naruto and Bleach, but the mysteries of Naruto and Bleach catch me more than they do with One Piece. The reason people think these 3 are overrated is probably because of those hella annoying die-hard fans who won't shut the hell up. (If all these stupid people like it, there's no way it can be good.)
