by giving too much credit to the real world, you may miss an opportunity to create a new world. I think this guy has the potential for making a new realm, at least for himself.

I think that this is the most idiotic/creepy thing I have heard about. A man wants to marry a 2-D fictional character. Sure we can go all into philosophies about how you or me don't really exist or what not, but this complete and utter stupidity. I completely agree with Mamsmilk. This person is obviously too obsessed with manga and anime. I mean, many of us read a lot and watch a lot but I don't think many of us (I hope) have given up on real people. Sure, many ideas come from imagination however, its usually something that is an idea or concept such as a elevator that goes to the moon or flying, trying to accomplish something. But he is trying to fiction people into reality. People, living things, personalities. It is just so stupid. This scenario reminds me of Ressentiment and the pathetic male characters in it. You know those who have read it, the main character has so terrible luck with women and life that he resorts to live a life in the virtual world. But this guy is even worse than the guy in the book, he wants to marry a character that has arbitrary responses and who cannot truly interact with him. He is just a shallow person who cannot see the true worth of people, and that is why he has to resort to 2D people.

Having said all that, I don't actually really care if he does marry some figure of his imagination. It is funny to me that he is choosing to live in delusions. 🤣

But really he and those people who signed his petition should really get their heads checked. I don't want to see a person making out with a poster of an anime character on the streets. 😲
