hey, its the SAME with religion eh...
That just pisses me off. I can see someone discussing about religion, but to outright say that-whether your right or not-is wrong. Respect people, don't be such an outright asshole.

I warned him. 🤣
Religious people will surely interpret it the worst possible way.
He could've meant that this obsession is like a religion
to the person who wants to marry the 2D character,
but I guess he meant the trolling way.

Marriage toward 2-d cartoon?
That just absolutely insane,it wouldn't even be consider marriage from the first place. This would rather fall under having legal right of actually owning a character of 2-d background.Beside isn't this a one-sided love, or do you actually it will talk back to you? @_@
(this is my opinion! interesting topic!)

so what if he uses his imagination to give himself pleasure? if he likes to dream about the most beautiful 2D girl and makes love to her, what is wrong with that? is it futile? not completely, it is his dream and dreams are the source of our power. what you are thinking about, will turn into reality some how. you shouldn't underestimate the power of one's imagination and make fun of it.
by giving too much credit to the real world, you may miss an opportunity to create a new world. I think this guy has the potential for making a new realm, at least for himself.

Why can't he just have an imaginary marriage?? o_o
exactly, it would be more befitting then someone who can only have a limited response from the original creation... and beside the voice actress going to feel creepy if any of their character were pick.. lawl someone marry this 2-d with you're voice!!! @_@
I am not sure I could explain my point clearly, sorry if my statement didn't sound very neat. 😛 it is already 4 AM here and I have to take some nap before morning. fu fu fu, too sleepy! 😀
... Well what would be the point of even suggestion this to exist in the first place...ahhh dreams.. its FREE... and it can DO ANYTHING... so why is a person suggestion this should be allow?

I have one link to give:
(Marry My Favorite Character Online).
It's been around for years...
he can adore or even worship something that's not even exist, but for sure he won't be able to marry it.

I didnt mean it in any trolling way. Its just a paragon: the one that say spitefully "living in delusion", should be warned that even something as Religion is considered "living in delusion". Because neither of these facts has proves of consistency, therefore i think its quite logical to suppose that thinking of 2D char as alive is alike thinking some omnipotent/omniscient entity exist.
My paragon wasnt worded wrong or insulting any particular person, 't was simply a fact.

Oh, thanks. Too much D&D.
I'm not religious myself, but you shouldn't be close-minded.
As much as I dislike overly religious people, I also dislike
people who are overly dependent on facts and such. 🤨
Anyways, I'm tempted to lock this thread, since the article
kind of has hit its expiration date. Nothing much to say...

lol how am i close-minded? I dont care if people believe or not, im not their tutor or anything else, instead i think thats all the better to believe in something. In this case, let those people love whatever they want to love, "live and let live", thats a good motto.
p.s. im NOT one of them eh, so no bias here 🤣

Don't worry, wasn't directed at you.
Just throwing it out in the forum. 🤣
As for the topic on-hand, I can't see why you would want to marry a 2D person. The character doesn't even have an own thought process, and isn't that the most wonderful of us humans. Two people who have different feelings and emotions that somehow can relate to eachother and find comfort. 😎

yes, but some times it just doesn't work. 🤨
Of course two different people who are struggling to reach to an understanding of each other heart and emotions is a beautiful thing only IF it works. I have seen many cases that people feel heart broken horribly and lose their courage even their will to live because of all the troubles they have been through and still their connection with the ones they desire is futile. life is harsh and you may or may not have a chance to find the love of your life. so some times an imaginary character who will responds to you easily, doesn't judge you or turn her back on you whenever she feels like leaving, can be a refuge of all the hardships. nothing is wrong with it. as one said before it is like believing in God. it gives you hope and makes you happy so ...
However, if some one is potentially clever enough they can turn this situation into a good chance for creating a new world based on their favorite character. if it was me, before getting married to my imaginary guy, I would create a 2D copy of myself and then I could marry with him in the 2D world without problem. 😛
...
But as you long as you live, you will feel pain.
That's a fact of life. Trying to hide away from the pain,
by marrying an imaginary character is superficially reasoned.
😮
That doesn't mean I object it though.
If they feel comfortable with their choice, that's all that matters.

The whole "loving something/someone" part reminds me of Chobits, except 2D fictional characters are even less real of beings than programmed persocoms -_-
Oh wait, persocoms don't even exist
