Biggest "WTF" Moment In Your Life?

Oh, the wind chime thing reminds me of another one!
A few years ago I received a silver ring in the mail from Thailand. I know NO ONE in Thailand, and the names on the package meant nothing to me; it had my full correct name and address so there's very very little chance it was intended for someone else. To this day I still have no clue why someone in Thailand mailed me a silver ring. 😕

When I found out dad dressed like a girl and got into a club where most of the military highschool students went. I guess the original plan was to get revenge for them stealing all the cute girls but...he ended up getting caught and feeling so sick he was close to calling emergency because the strap from his wig pressed really hard on his head.
When one of my middle-school classmates told me she had a crush.
On a teacher.

'Nuff said. It was so creepy, weird and completely impossible (the problem is she was half-serious) it truly left me wtf-ing.
A few days ago there was a really strong rain and I was at my comp when I looked on the window and saw a frying pan falling down (I live in a flat). Next off, another pan. And another. It seemed for awhile that it was raining pans, but thankfully my neighbor had no more pans on her window jamb...

I forgot how to read, I was starting at the paper thinking why are there so many black symbols on it. Then I remebered they were letters. 🙄

You know, it could just be a friend who happened to have travelled to Thailand, and decided to play a practical joke on you and send you a package from there, without telling you so.

Theoretically it could be, except that I don't have any friends who would travel to Thailand, and why would they send something with no note or indication who it was from and still never tell me after several years? 😕 Too weird...

I've actually done something like this. Some years after graduation I was going through a notebook from my high school days and I found a note my classmate had written with his birthday on it, telling me to get him a birthday present. Since it was almost the day I bought him a present and sent it to him with no note or return address.

Why don't you just write a letter back to them and ask what it's about? (assuming you can still find the address/name)

I hope you are not making this up.
Could be a joke.
Could be a friend you didn't consider a friend.
Could be you are just getting old and crazy.

I was going to, but then I got busy, lost track of the envelope, and...yeah, just kind of never did.

Nope, not making it up, I promise. I suppose it's probably either a weird prank or a nice gift from someone I've long since lost touch with, but it's still quite weird. (Old & crazy is possible, but I don't think I've lost it that much yet. 🤣 )

I think I gave someone else a "WTF??" moment today...
My foster baby had to go to the hospital for an outpatient procedure, & at registration the lady asked if he'd been to the hospital before. I'm sure my reply of "I don't know, but I think he was born here" seemed really odd until I clarified that I'm his foster mom, not his birth mom. 🤣 (In my defense, I'd been up all night with a sick baby, so I didn't even think about what I was saying until I'd already said it.)

That is very funny. I think I'll use that when I have kids.

So, i was supposed to be camping this weekend, but we came back, after less than 24 hours.
heres the story....
So, we get there, every things fine and good, people just getting a bit drunk, well, they run out of beer, and my mah goes to the store with a friend of hers, they run a little bit late, and my mah's friends bf gets pissed and starts flipping the fuck out, so, things get really tense, and we decide to head home after just getting there.
well, turns out, one of our tires goes flat right outside the camp site, less than a mile away. (i think that the guy messed with it)
so, we call AAA, they say they are gonna send someone out(oh, did i mention we are now stranded in front of the federal womens prison camp?) so while we are waiting, a cop pulls up, lights flashing and all, turns out, the guy didn't want his gf to leave, and her dad was there.
her dad, shot the dude.
o.O
damn man...
i was lookin forward to fishing, too.
