I had never looked at it that way, but now I see the relation. Who knows, Akira might have been influenced by Superman.

more like son goku from saiyuki. look at the first concept of goku in dragonball, wierd lil kung fu monkey kid. the series suffered from its own disease and it just evolved to what it is today, it happens all the time in the story. goku can jump very high then he can fly and finally teleport, master roshi blew up a mountain, nappa blew up a city, frieza blew up a planet.

Goku would own Superman. Superman is weak to magic, so I think his Kamehamaha counts as magic.

well it would be understandable if Superman did survive that, he's got a lot of immunities after all. something of that size could hurt him but not kill i think. Goku's not like him in that aspect since he can run out of power and break just as easily if he's fighting the right opponent.

actually Super man can destroy a planet...
they stated that in one of the DC comics that describe the powers of the super heros...not in the Goku sense with a fire ball but he could dig to the denter of the earth and disrupt the core...or he could knock us out of orbit...basically killing us from the change of momentum lol...depending on which super man your talking about either post or pre crisis thier power levels and abilities drastically change...plus it also depends on who;s writing the super man story...

wouldn't necessarily work that easily. Superman has enough speed to avoid a move like that. honestly i agree with keel, Superman vs. Goku would really depend on what Superman your using and which writers version as well. there's a lot of variation to how Superman's power is handled and how much of it he has. a good example is Superman Prime, since he's from a different variation of earth he's pretty much over the top godly since he doesn't have any weaknesses since they're all left in his world. so stuff like Kryptonite might not work on him, making it a tougher fight on Goku.

what cheap trick are you referring to? cause i can't seem to recall Goku using something along the lines of Kryptonite in his fights.
