Which, in your opinion, is the "cutest" and "best read"?
think of them both as bishielicious, and all girls having the hots for them.
IMO the latter is way cuter to see. >_> most of the time, the playboy is already all friendly with said girl before he realises she's the one so it's all "blah". But the quiet one... OMG.
Probably why I just wanna rape Sano right now. has a fangirl attack
But seeing these two character types in a love triangle is pretty enjoyable (like Yurara and Moe Kare!!, although in the latter playboy is way cuter xD).

deffinitly the later, i feel that the playboy always gets all the girls (obviously) and THIS girl just happens to be the one. I just find it lame, by I'll still read it, I'm not picky.
I think that its cute when the shy guy gets the girl, or the loner, or whatever. >___<

I agree as usually the girl is really nothing special, the quiet guy is usually better but alot of them time the girl is reallly annoying the exception being koukou debut because haruna is so nice <3I'm sure there are more but thats the only one I can think of...

Neither (I don't read much shoujo).... but if I had to choose one, probably the latter. I used to be quite a passive person who fantasized about death in junior highschool (thanx megadeth).... so it felt really good when I found someone I could 'open up' to... after that I became the playboy type, but never found 'the one'... now I'm into motorcycles. 🤣 🤣

I don't really like it when the playboy finds "the one" when he doesn't even know her and/or she has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. However, that plotline can work if it's done right like in Mars. In general, I think it's easier for a mangaka to pull of a good "quiet guy + girl" plotline. So basically what I'm trying to say is:
bad quiet guy + girl manga > bad playboy + girl manga
good quiet guy + girl manga < good playboy + girl manga
if that makes sense. heh. D:

yes i love the mean violent guy that suddenly falls for a girl most of the time the innocent type
h20 has a character like that and a quiet? gamer that finds out his fav model is transfered to his class n then theres the popular class pres that falls for the loner
3 kinda plots in one story ya

I like the quiet guys, cause that usually mean they're dark and sexy, and who doesn't like that! Playboys are alright, but I like the other type.

I enjoy both but if i have to choose I like the quiet guys. They have that certain iunno atmosphere and playboys have one too but its more cheerful =\
