None of it is true well at least the ones concerning sex. It's all made up but it makes sense if you really think about it.

Quote from amaranthine
There's also the phallic symbol in the Little Mermaid.
Personally, I never notice them unit someone points it out to me 😀
I have the original VHS release of this movie, and sure enough, there it is -- a phallus among the castle spires. And you're right, I never noticed until I read about it and checked the box. Too funny!
From what I read, it was because Disney stiffed the artist on his payment or contract or something like that, so that was his way of getting even. 😁

About Mark Twain (sorry if i spelled his name wrong) but i thought he wasn't part of disney. And regarding the "N" word. i think that at his time the word was still a common phrase. So Mark means no harm i think 😕

Bump...
This has been a very educational thread. 😃
Didn't even know of the subliminal messages.
I will never look at Disney the same way again.
Wasn't a huge fan anyway...

Someone in college stole my original copy of the little mermaid that had that castle spire on it. sigh
If you've ever thought or said "Nice Guys finish last" and really meant it, then you should probably read this LJ post by DivaLion. It's incredibly insightful whether you're male or female.
From a bumper sticker I like:
"If you're gonna ride my ass, at least pull my hair."
