Kazuki Shikimori from Maburaho.

The guy (second year, 17 yr old) goes to the elite school of mages and has the greatest secret to get any woman, his children will be the greatest magic users in history. At the start of the Anime (manga doesn't go into it much and makes him a little more decisive) every female in the class wants him, when they learn the sercet, because of the prestige and power having such a child would give. The anime sorta drops that angle quick, however 3 females still go after him and he in goes out of his way to charm them and do nothing. The spoiler gives the real reason for my vote but there are other things to.

So basically you got a 17 year old with the ability to basically have a string of one night stands with just about any female he wants or if he doesn't want to sow those wild oats have an actual relationship but instead does nothing.

At the end he splits himself into 10 copies of himself and at this point their are only 4 main females of interest (5 if you count the loli that pops up, 7 if you count the Manager and the Doctor's Sister) which means one Kazuki for each female and 3-6 to spread around. With the ability to be with each female in question Team Kazuki still can't make a decision to commit, this is what makes me vote for him, 10 Kazuki's and not one relationship or one night stand is formed.

a normal man would just date all the 5 girls, each one in secret from the other ( I would 5hot girls wohoo)

Well most harem idiots I've wanted to kill w/ a passion simply b/c they are idiots who are apparently afraid of sex while regular guys have to pray for a miracle just to make it to second base. >_>

But I'd have to pick Youta from Video Girl Ai. Even though I love the series the guy is such an indecisive idiot for 3/4 of the manga. He basically set the mold for Manaka. Not to mention, he was inches away from sex like 4 times the other times I can kinda understand why he didn't go through w/ it, but the first time he's there and then he just gets up, answers the phone, and then leaves.

i can go into great detail of why i think he was, but its been awhile since i read the manga. all i can say is that if 3 beautiful girls were really interested in me, i wouldn't be an idiot.

I totally agree with you on that one. Anyway, nearly all harem protagonists are complete morons. Anyway, I also say the lead of Love Monster. (Can't remember her name...)

I've never really read shojo, but I agree most shonen main characters in romance/harems are so damn annoying it's sickening sometimes.

My vote goes to Manaka from Ichigo 100% too. I get so irritated with that character sometimes I have to stop reading the whole manga for a while. It's been over a year now and I'm only just now on volume 15 of that one, but I'm determined to finish it. I've just taken it back up again last week so I'm gonna finish it this weekend I think.
