Well, as for me, I listen to Japanese more than English songs because nowadays the English songs of nowadays are...crap...or so to speak. It's all about sex and depression now -_- Not to mention the English boybands pretty much died with N'sync (go ahead, laugh, I like them)

....and yeah...'coz they're good 😀

I've been into Nujabes lately. His beats are really relaxing and catchy.

Only thing I listen to is Christian rock. It's not really that different from normal rock, except for the obvious lack of sex and drugs. And it's not like all the songs are even about God; I know a suprising number of people who aren't even Christian who listen to Christian rock.
I like music with a good beat, but it's so hard to find a rock group that doesn't ues half the songs to talk about sex and/or drugs and by the time I would find one, they'd start that in their next album. So I gave up on mainstream...for the most part.
I'm also going through a phrase where I listen to a lot of classical music and songs that are just instramentals. No idea why...think it's the band geek coming back out.

Erm yeah..the thread...for a more complete answer, it's because it's very fun to listen to, it gives me energy, it makes me hum the songs everywhere and end up obsessed with them, it makes me live in a world of mine when I put on my gigantic headphones, close my eyes and lay back and because sometimes I feel it's so awesome it nearly makes me cry. Also because of nostalgia- even if Linkin Park is pretty "eh", I'll never stop liking them because it brings back good memories and it's what drove me to better music actually.

I listen more to instrumentals because lots of good songs have embarassing lyrics and I've always seen voice as nothing more than another instrument that's just more distinctive and louder than all others.

I listen to metal because it's got a damn load of energy and strength. And it's fuun~

I tend to listen to a variety, but most of the time my stereo is crankin Coheed and Cambria. I mainly like the guitar riffs, but the fact that all four albums are segments of an epic story also keeps me interested.

for me i don't really care what language is the song made in. but most of the time i listen to Japanese music thou i don't understand a single word in it.i mostly look at the beat and the rhythm of a song, if i like it i listen to it.

I listed to what I listen to because I like it. I find that I like many different things from the mainstream - no sex or drugs. If I listen to songs in a language that I understand, then I can usually somewhat relate to the lyrics. Like Vienna Teng for example.

Because I like the way it sounds, and it makes me feel all warm & bubbly inside.

cause i been exposed to it at a young age

i was nervous at first it was big & long & went straight up i had to try it i eased onto it & liked it! i went up & down on it.... i love escalators now! 😀
