Hello,
I am interested in working as a typesetter or proofreader for shonen, seinen, and slice of life manga. I would rather not work on yaoi/yuri manga.
English is my first language and I do quite a lot of writing; I also get good grades in grammar and spelling. These would help me to a good job as a proofreader.
I have a typing speed of 82 words per minute and have access to the GIMP, a program that makes it easy to get the right fonts and manage typing. These will help suit me to a typesetting job.
I am willing to work diligently and regularly, as I have a lot of time and love to type. Typesetting is my first choice but I will do proofreading on shonen/seinen manga if it is needed.

Thanks for your interest.
Unfortunately, we don't allow GIMP for typesetting as it rasterizes the text layers and we can't edit it. However, Adobe also gives free Photoshop for one of their older versions.

Hm... For CLEANERS is it allowed to use GIMP or do I have to install photoshop.

GIMP or other programs are fine for cleaners as long as it allows you to have a RAW and CLeaned layer separately, and you can save as a .PSD file.
