Unnaturally large breasts look kinda retarded, small to medium breasts look the best on a young girl's figure. That's just my opinion.

Shoujo manga is more realistic, Japanese woman they don't really have big boobs, unlike shounen or seinen boobs which are usually always unrealistically huge.

I hadn't really paid much attention to them having big are small breasts in shoujo. but i think they should have variety instead of having them all be flat cheasted. they can have them be just normal size because not all teen girls are flat cheasted i wasn't but what i hate most is the gigantic awful breast the female characters seem to all have in some of the hentai manga i avoid like the plague unrealistically huge is a lot worse than very small in a manga.balance wouldn't hurt though you know think of the girls\women that do have them naturally

it's because giving them no boobs is supposed to make them your average girl. they cant make her too attractive, because no one can relate, but they can't make her physically deformed or overweight, because then us shallow readers wouldn't like her. they need her to be attractive, but not perfect, hence the lack of cleavage.

The majority of shoujo manga is mainly for young, female audiences, aka mainly NOT MEN. Most shoujo manga-kas like to have female protagonists with average looks, which includes an average chest size.
I would NOT want to read shoujo manga with every female main character having a freakin` D cup; that's just disgusting.

;o you made me cry D cups are the best thing in the world! It's like rainbows and unicorns put into one soft jiggly pouch. I'm young and I'm a female and I think they should have at least some curves or form of tits at least. I would love and very much enjoy to read shoujo manga with chicks who have D cups Lol 😳 I think the world can be a better place if that happened more 😃

I hate when the main characters in shounen and seinen animes have those huge boobs that are always in your face. It just completely turns me off from reading/watching. Its so stupid to me. I dont want to see some other chick's boobs every second!

Its the same when you are male - If some guy was always showing his sexy abs when you are trying to read a manga, you wouldnt like it as much either. So they leave male sexy-ness out of your animes/mangas :/
