Oooh, The Onion. Had me worried there. Shows Naruto's getting mainstream, though, if they're doing stuff with it.

It's amazing how many threads I've seen, in various forums, posting articles from The Onion, and there'll usually be a whole lot of people taking it seriously and one or two (or three) people will say "Um, guys, The Onion is satire," but nearly everybody ignores them. I'll have to show my bros this, though.

actually something else halfway down the forum came from the onion but the very first post came from something called wftv or something like that i cant really say if it is satire as well since i never heard of it but all their stories seem like they could be and yet the could also not be satire

Come on! You want to see disturbing, try playing a war video game or Resident Evil. I swear, if the FCC comes up with new censorship laws because of this, nobody is going to want to buy U.S. anime. Naruto (dude, ask for the pronunciation!) is meant for kids and if U.S. kids are that stupid (anyone heard of a Japanese kid doing this?) then it's one less idiot in the gene pool.

Alright, of course the images are disturbing. Its RL and its a real kid who suffocated. Its not some video game with fake people getting their heads blown off.

Sad story. The kid may have been a bit dull, but that doesn't mean it's right to laugh at his death. However, this is just the latest kid to die imitating something he saw. It's been happening for years, kids have imitated Superman and Spiderman and fallen to they're death because they thought they could fly or swing from he roof tops. Kids have died imitating pro wrestling. I mean seriously, Parents need to teach their kids the difference between fantasy and reality, and maybe supervise them on occasion.

Anyway someone already mentioned it:
Natural Selection. Thats all there is too it. There is a very good chance that if that kid didn't die imitating Naruto, he would have still died trying something just as dumb.
When I was 10 years old, I sure as hell never thought that I would be able to fly while yelling "kamehameha". And I have a little brother who is around that age, but he's never tried to throw "kunai" at me.

Anyway I usually try not to laugh at people's unfortunate events because Karma can be a bitch. That said there is some pretty stupid people out there doing some pretty ridiculous things. Its their own fault.

It's really not cool to make fun of it. Even if what he did was stupid, he had people that cared about him and when you laugh at what happened to him its like your pointing it in the families face that he's dead. If you laugh at it keep it to yourself and don't go talking about it.
