Otaku incensed at a mangaka’s decision to portray a heroine as being a non-virgin have launched a campaign of harassment which has seen the writer forced to close her blog, reporting that she is “heart-broken” over their hateful attacks.
The mangaka in question, Sasuga Kei (real name Keiko Sasaki), currently writes “G.E. Good Ending,” a popular love comedy serialised in Shonen Magazine.

Sad that I bet those same otaku would be totally ok with a male lead sleeping with a harem of girls before setting his eyes on the female lead.
To me, it makes the heroine more believe-able as a character. Idolizing is just silly. I prefer a good story to one doctored up to fanservice.

Ugh. Seriously? These damned otaku need to go outside. I can only take comfort in the fact that they will never, ever get laid. That poor mangaka.

That's exactly true. Furthermore the article even points out that they aren't upset about the female lead not being a virgin, but because hero doesn't get to "de-flower" her. It's just disgusting.
Edit: Hah! I know it's an old article, but I found this on that same website. Good. 3D women don't want creepy otaku either.

I saw the kiss marks in chapter 16, but I didn't see no back of the car action XD

You know what scares me the most about guys like these? It's the fact that they might end up doing something bad/violent to a real woman if they ever fall in love with one - I mean, if they're so madly jealous over a manga character, I'm seriously worried about what kind of crazed/violent stalkers they might turn out to be if a real woman was involved. 😔

Heck no wonder Japan's birth rate is dropping like the thermometer outside my window, if all the Japanese guys dislike "second hand" girls, then there is no fucking way they are going to get laid... UNLESS they start to aim for 14 years old and younger... with would SUCK balls.

kkkkkkkkkkkkkkk never thought that anyone would ever harass a magaka because of something like that.seems like otaku really lack a little bit of reality in their way of thinking.
I actually found it kind of bothering too that shou had those bitemarks but only because I side with the pitiful main-character.as I see it GE is a manga about growing up and the problems and pains that come with relationships or like in this case with no relationship....
in this respect it is the first REAL shounen manga I ever read.

that is a kind of a weird thing to hear. i dont really like shou as it is considering what she did to our HERO, but is that that really something to be mad about that harrass the author?
