My Senior prom was supposed to be Juniors and Seniors with their dates, but a bunch of couple bought tickets for their "dates" and sold them to underclassmen couples. As a result, the first half was so crowded, it wasn't much fun. Luckily, the student goverment had the "bright" idea of using smoke machines, which made the fire alarms go off halfway through. My group was so large that by the time we'd gathered everyone, the alarms had stopped and about half the crowd was gone, making the second half much more enjoyable.
I think only two of my friends actually had dates, so we were mostly just one huge group of mostly girls. One of the two guys was with his girlfriend and the other was busy chasing one of my best friends around. My ex showed up for a bit, but he didn't hang out long (probably due to my obvious lack of interest. We'd gotten together at homecoming, so I think he was hoping for a repeat). The music wasn't that good, but it was so much fun to just get all dressed up and act like complete losers. My senior prom dress was my favorite formal, too. It was kind of like Cinderella's in the disney movie, but without the ugly sleeves (my theory on prom: girls can wear full-skirted dresses three times in their life, at junior prom, senior prom and wedding, so wear it when you can).
Actually, my Junior Prom was pretty interesting, too. We went as one huge group (with only one guy) and two of my girlfriends decided to wear suites. They're both completely straight, just thought it would be fun to do at junior prom, since senior is the one that really countes.
We didn't take a limo either year, though, becuase we didn't feel like forking over the cash. The first year, we got a couple of parents with SUV to drive us and the second year, we broke up into three or four cars with drivers. I drove to my senior prom in an SUV wearing a skirt so full I had to have one of my friends help me get in the car so my skirt wouldn't get caught in the door.

Let's see what adds up to 1000 dollars.
-Prom Ticket 200
-Prom Suit 350
-Prom make over 120
-Prom limo 370😲 It costs that much?!
Anyway I attended my junior and senior proms back in my homeland...It isn't such a money draining event as anywhere else...not even close, fortunately.
I really enjoyed it...especially the dancing(though not good at it), the music, and the food too (we actually had chicken wings 😲 ) ...sigh
In my school, you could do things like sell magazines and get credits and not pay as much.
Which I didn't do, hence me not going. I wouldn't have gotten to dance with who I wanted to anyways. 🙄

Prom was fun, after party was much better though. Stupid nuns... didn't let us do it in a hotel since it's not Christian-ish to spend too much money on "useless" stuff, they even explicitly told us not to get anything designer-brand O_O lol
Too bad didn't win prom queen though 🤣

I didn't go to my prom, or to my high school graduation, or to any other function my high school ever held. It all just seemed like a waste of time to me.
I guess you could say I didn't think very highly of my high school, that and I'm just not a social person.

For a prom!? Seriously? My prom costs about $20 per person and it already got our prom held at a 4 star hotel with music, food, drinks and everything...we even got a DJ
I went to Junior Prom my sophomore year. It was kind of lame. There were the douchebags that I saw everyday, but in funny clothes and trying to dance in the gym.
Eventually, they gave up and just decided to hump each other in time to Daddy Yankee instead.
Yup. That's class.
Lol. I didn't go to my high school's prom, cause I knew it would be wak. So I went to another one. I only had to rent a tux. The girl I was going with paid for my tickets and for my cut of the limo. 😀 😀

My high school prom was upsetting.
I moved in the middle of my senior year leaving all my friends =the 1st crappest thing that could happen!
I had to be transfered to 3 different schools because 2 of them wanted me to
A.) stay back a grade
B.) go to summer school and gradurate with the rainbow class
*by the way it wasn't because I was dumb it was because I didn't take English 4 yet. The school I was at before had 4 classes 1st semester and 4 new classes 2nd semster.
=this seperated me from my brothers who stayed at the 1st school
In this 3rd school I had only 2 classes. Sometime I would be late arriving to school so I hardly showed up for 1st period. = Basically had no friends = Basically I didn't have Prom Date.
I went to prom anyway and hung with one of the girls in my English class who didn't have a date either = I found she was a lesbian later on (we're still friends i have now problems with girls who like girls).
What made everything hell was because of my older brother. My older brother stayed back a year. Found a new girlfriend when he got to his new school. Had a white and gold limousine (i had a regular car)! Got onto his schools magazine and was mentioned on the local radio (just because it was raining and he carried his date like a princess 🙄 ). He had everything I was suppose to have!!
It wasn't fair!!! 😢
It's ok because his girlfriend broke up with him because she said he was to nice. he has 2 kids in NC and doesn't have a job and is doing nothing in his life. sighs see what happens when you mess with your little sisters prom dreams. I don't blame my mommy and daddy because they didn't do my brothers prom my aunt did....I hate her by the way.
Since my prom dream didn't work out I'm going to make sure my wedding dreams come true. Way better than a silly prom 😃

My err "prom" (we call it a formal in Australia) is held at the end of the year. I don't have a boyfriend so I don't think I'll take anyone with me (I don't really care unlike most people xD), I haven't actually given it much thought DX I wanted to wear a suit instead of a dress 🤣 I'd rather rent a suit and wear it than buying an expensive dress and wearing only once. Also imagine all the time I would have to spend shopping for the dress, shoes and accessories 🤢
