when I was in high school I went sleep at 2:00AM and wake up at 6:00AM, mainly because my school finish at 3:00AM after that, I have to attend a german course from 4:00PM-9PM, came back at home at 9:30, with school assignment & exam already waiting, done with the routine at midnight, after that I play some psx game with my bro till 2.00am then sleep. It was hellish, but without some entertainment I wont survive my day.

Well, a lot of online gaming is extremely addictive anyways. Why do you think there's an increasing number of folks isolating themselves in their houses to play all day or more and more people collapsing from "continuous runs" in WoW or some other game? There are many other issues that spring from addiction, of course and more psychiatrists these days have confirmed increasing cases of patients receiving treatment for addiction to games: especially online games.

Therefore, I don't think the case is merely a matter of "children needing to grow up". Children, teens and adults simply react to addiction in different ways. A kid may throw a tantrum at his parents while an office worker may result to taking "sick leave".
