I'll throw Pandora Hearts out there as well, even though it's technically in the shounen demographic......yeah, nothing like what you'd expect from your typical shounen, and it is longer (and a complex read on top of that) and it's in the fantasy genre.

And Kamisama Hajimemashita is technically a long shoujo fantasy, but it's not really epic like the ones you mentioned.

Kubera (Korean webtoon)

Dokuhime it's not that long (only 5 vols) but it's really good.
