Well I was gonna say one of the elder scrolls games (well really only Morrowind or Oblivion), but ya them blizzard stratagy games probably have some of the best story lines. Personally I loved the fact that in Morrowind if you wanna bash the head in of an extremely important character to the main plot, hell go right on and do it, have fun! You wanna complete the main story line in a bizzare, origonal, but logical way? Hella hard but it can also be done! Basically I respect games with story lines that can change and shift based on what the hell you want, or plots that basically leave you with no alternative (Warcraft 3 for example is a no alternitive situation, basically its do or die).

Hey, you can do that in the Baldur's Gate series, but still have a better storyline than morrowind. It's amazing.

u just reminded me! half life is awesome! and so is bioshock. man that game would make an incredible movie if they stick to the plot.

I`ve played to death any japanese rpg ive ever heard off
including all mentioned above.
Nothing can stand next to its story.
Not ffvii, not fviii, not star ocean, not chrono triger, just nothing.

Chrono Trigger, and Final Fantasy 7 and 8. 10 was more fun to play than both the two, only because it a next gen up. i can tell u what the WORST cliche' storyline is, Gears of War. the dialogue is god awful, i guarantee i couldve come up with a better plot and script within a day

Hmm... best storyline? I'm going to say Xenogears as well. Others that come to mind are Grandia III, Shadow Hearts 1 & 3 (own 2 as well but I haven't played it yet), Final Fantasy 1-12... and the list goes on and on...
