If someone were to ask you what your favorite song is, your favorite movie, your favorite character, the most important memory in your life, I doubt anyone can give just one answer on everything. It's because things aren't always judged using the same criteria.

For example, while you can judge MOST games based on gameplay, (there are still some exceptions though...like Metal Gear: Bande Desinee) other parts of the criteria will then differ depending on what genre it is. You'd judge RPGs based on storyline. But you can't judge a game like Guitar Hero based on story, would you? You'd judge a party game by how fun it is to play with your friends, but that wouldn't exactly be how you'd judge a survival horror game.

Sure, if every game can be judged using the very same criteria, it'll be easier to pick out the best. But the way things are now, you really can't, because every "good" game excels on different things. Sure, you can compare Valkyrie Profile to Xenosaga, or Fatal Frame to Silent Hill. But how can you compare Guitar Hero to FFX? Gran Turismo to Resident Evil?

Completely missed my point there. I'm saying I want you to choose a game that you thought had a better story than all the others. I know Guitar Hero doesn't really have a story. I just want you to pick THE story that you liked the best in a game. It doesn't have to be an RPG. You can pick something like Halo for all I care. Just pick one.
