No Net - corrupt china?

Now i have decided to make this topic discusing the corruption within one of the worlds bigest and the most populated countries. Now the corruption that is in china is obvious, you don't have to try hard to see it if you read into it. We of the "west" just choose to ingnore it because it is their "way" of doing things and we do not want to harm that.
I will start by talking about their internet, Now the most of you already know how they bann an insane amount of content making their internet act as a server to the net for people rather than a direct connection to the net.
Ok so they have officialy banned all explicit porn website. Welldone, good job i see no fault here, It does limit freedom but it doesn't bring on ingnorence making a fair contructive bann.
So lets not stop there lets bann "facebook, bbc, ccn, hotmail, youtube, and most of all english websites" english being a world "trade" language, this thas means alot of shit is banned. Not just english websites any websites with news from different countries to be honest.
reasoning for banning such websites?
There is no real reason besides the "we want to keep our culture alive and blah, blah, blah", huh? A countries culture doesn't fall apart because of exposer thats just bu%$£^t.
The reason why they block most of these sites is purely political! They don't wan't people hearing news from the outside so he can spew jack shit to the people? What kind of dictatorship is this?
most visited sites "world wide":
1.Google
2.facebook
3.youtube
4.yahoo
Do you know that it has officialy been made illegal to the rest of the entire world to hunt whales for meat because they are on the verge of extinction? However there is a way to bypass this...If you kill a whale in the name of science it is not illegal. So china decide we will go and count the whales in the name of science and kill a few in the process, Now no science experiments happen to these whales, they dock them for about half a yaer in a science lab because they are not killed for meat, after that period of time has passed they can offically hand it out as meat to the people
Now there are some other details i could go into but that is just an example of corruption there is...
Do these people know that they are helping Robert Mugabe because he gives them some cash for surgery? Do they know who Robert Mugabe is?(Zimbabwe's president, The worst there is at the moment :haha
My question here is:
WHY are these people living under dictatorship?** WHY** are they not fighting for democracy?
Are they contempt with living in a dictatorship? Are they ok with someone telling them how their life will roll down the line?
Just WHY?
The reason why i have decided now to bring this up is because google has now decided to opt out of chinas net? What is their net> games and networking?, they have less then half the acces we have to the net because of dictatorship

I believe in letting people do as they wish, as do I myself. Sometimes, of course, what I wish to do is kill them and they do not wish to die. This gives life interest.

They prefer a false sense of peace over freedom.

Sigh, I knew someone would ask this question sooner or later. China's "dictatorship" is not as extreme as the media and Hollywood portrayed it to be. In fact, I went to China last summer for a couple of weeks. I went to Beijing and Shanghai. People there are content. They are happy. They don't really care about the right to vote or whatever other things we perceive as lacking in China. In fact, I asked some of them and they told me: "China back in the 50s and 60s China was no better than the poorest of the African country today, and now China is becoming an emerging superpower. I have a car, I have a house, I have a family, I have a stable job, life insurance, and my sister owns her own tea shop. What else do I need?"[Apparently, private business are allowed in China since 5-6 years ago]
Would you get jailed if you "talk" and voice your opinion? No. Those Chinese cops don't give a damn what you do, as long as you don't go around setting buildings and fire and burning yourself.[Which is what some extremist do to protest.] Pretty much the same law apply in the U.S applies in China. Follow the law and nothing happens.
I like to point you to this link from someone else who also visited China.
NOW, as to what China blocks. Let me reason this out for you. Google, Youtube, and various other sites are business!! They aren't political or social leaders. Their goal is to earn money. If China wants to block some websites, sure, it's what their law dictates. Let's see: A foreign company wants to do business in China, they go to China, and start their Business AGREEING to that country's law, then they decided that, from their personal view point, they NO LONGER need to follow that country's law. What part of that make sense? Also, you must respect other country's law. If that country has a law, you follow it. You must remember every country have different laws for different reasons. Are you going to Islamic countries and tell their president they are oppressing human rights because some of their century old custom requires women to cover their faces? Are you going to some some European country and say: "In most states of AMERICA, Pot and prostitution is illegal! Why is it not in your country!! That's wrong!!" That just sounds ignorant....
So in conclusion I would say, talk to some real Chinese people from Mainland China, and make your own decision, don't just rely on these so called "political commentators" to think for you. Think for yourself!!

I didn't rely on others...i came to these conslusions myself. And it is not a seviour situation at the moment to the chinese but you should know dictatorship is bad 🤣 many reasons why, i just wan't you to think beyond a habitat that is shelterd with ingnorance.
Remember no news sites from other countries> or cnn> world wide news? Think carefully at how everything is being controlled, its nothing to do with culture to be sure.

Hey, if people in China CHOOSE to be ruled under their current government, then they have the FREEDOM to do so. What about religion. People CHOOSE to be ruled under an ALL POWERFUL being that tells them exactly how they live and what they would do. Is that not a dictatorship? Or better yet, religious people CHOOSE to be ruled over by a MASTER who they never seen. An invisible ruler with an invisible dictatorship! 😀 It's all about perspective my friend. That and various degree of which we define freedom. Besides, do you really want to argue China is a dictatorship? Because it's not...There is an distinct difference between what China is and what dictatorship is....

Okay....so they censored out other countries propaganda..... Do you watch Chinese news channels? Chinese new papers? Probably not. To understand the world truly, like I said before, do not rely on the media. It is biased.
You might not know, but some European country called the US a dictatorship. For example, Holland legalized prostitutes and weed. So someone from Holland will ask the SAME question you just did: "How can you guys live there, pot and prostitution isn't allowed. It's a dictatorship"
wow....what a perspective taking eh?

The older generations who lived in China have no gripes about the government. They swallow what they are fed by the government-run news, and the government has very little influence in their daily lives, so they're happy with the way things are. In fact, most Chinese have a lot of national pride, especially with the recent rapid growth of the economy. Since capitalism was established, China has gone from third-world-country conditions to a rising superpower, so most people see the government as having done pretty well. The young educated masses are the ones who are starting to question communist rule and censorship.
Another thing, google, yahoo, flickr, youtube, etc. are not that popular in China. They have their own equivalents like Baidu, Tudou, Youku, Tuhai, etc. which are way more popular.

Then you're not that bright imo. You should wonder about why the world is focusing on China's lack of respect for human rights while ignoring other countries that are worse offenders. There is a simple reason why the Chinese might prefer a one-party system than democracy. Just look at the state of India is in.
Also, I'm wondering why you are not capitalizing "China" because the word "china" means a totally different thing. 🙄

Chinese people don't feel they need the American websites. Everything provided by FaceBook, CNN, Google, and YouTube they already have. For FaceBook, they use QQ, which also acts as an IM and many, many other things. They also have other websites that are just like FaceBook. They have their own news websites, which unlike popular belief don't take away from any news; if anything, they add more (real) information than the American news. For searches, they use Baidu, which provides many more everyday applications than Google does. For YouTube, their own video sites and engines do way more than YouTube does. The only thing they might regret about Google leaving is Gmail, which so many Chinese people have.

I'm curious, almighty freedom and justice fighter fr33noob, what is your view on the Iraq Conflict?
Google might be popular in US, but in China, Baidu is bigger than even Google.
Also, don't you get tired not able to respond to any comments besides repeating what you already said? Really......I don't think you actually know what you are talking about.....
You know, years ago, political discussions used to be banned, but nowadays, somehow it is allowed. Why? I don't know. Certainly banning it will decrease the amount of conflicts occurring on the forum.

I think we are still in iraq because we currently have a healthy agreement with the current leader who has been set in power and if we leave someone will overthrow him getting rid of our healthy "agreement" cough (oil). And they have mentioned something about it in the news they just go around it. 😀
And whats wrong with questioning this? I get ear from my whale loving sister all the time about them, I just thought i would get views on it?

That no one "questions" the communist rule is untrue. You're doing it yourself now, whining about something not related to you.
It's been said before, people are just not concerned about it in China. They have it well, and if you were to actually go there you'd see that it's just like any other country.
I'll bet that there are many more western QQ's than actual chinese people that are not happy with the goverment.
Here's the THING:
There's a difference between you complaining about your OWN countries problem (like the protest about black segregation in usa in the 1960:s), something that you have some actual knowledge about and affecting you in some way, compared to just whining and complaining about someone ELSES countries "problem", which you're most likely ignorant about.
There's a reason why the chinese people are not complaining and are happy (and they're not "brainwashed", I know, shocker!). Maybe you should think about why that is instead of asking why people put up with "communism".
China is communist in name only btw, just because the party is called CCP doesn't mean china is communist.
Edit: And I think you've mix up Japan with China on the whale hunting thing. Just goes to show how much you actually know...

Hopeless... is it any of your business that the Chinese (most of them anyway) prefers a one-party system? And given the country went from poverty to relatively prosperous (remember the debt US owed China) in about 20 years since Deng Xiaoping took over, I wouldn't actually think it's really a bad thing for the citizens (the urban ones at least).
And what the hell is "google > the net?" If the internet doesn't exist, Google is not gonna exist also. I suggest you read up and educate the real reason why Google left China.

I am not being prejiduce here, read my post, google is opting out now because of censorship.
So quick to jump the gun and atack me for asking, why? 🤣
people > democracy means you have the right to voice, i only made that sugestion under the preconsumption that no one questions the net censorship of lots of things news related.
Lets not forget what the word opt means ok people? Means ask to leave.
And boxbox, stop calling me a freedom fighter damnit! 🤣 I only question things were people decide to ingnore or bite.

No...Google is still providing service in China. After making threats about leaving, they just moved their building to Hong Kong......
Here's your chance to prove yourself Freedom Fighter. Scary, but this isn't a movie, it's real.....little do you realize the truth about the world around you. The end was pretty funny, these two couple were just walking and then Bam! right in the back of the head and 20 people were on top of them making an arrest based on they fact that they were walking on the street at that time. Reminds me of V for Vendetta.... uh oh... 😲
