Hmm, my first shoujo manga was either Eine Kleine or Potato Chip.
I really can't remember since it's been eons (like 15+ years ago...) and they were drawn by the same mangaka too!! 🤣

My first shoujo manga, and the very first manga I read, was Kodomo no Omocha. I had bought a Case Closed DVD, and they had an insert advertising the Kodocha anime coming out soon. I thought it looked good, so I bought the anime. When I finished the first DVD, I wanted to know when the second DVD was coming out, so I looked online, and I saw that there was a book (I didn't know it was manga then), so I went to Barnes & Noble, got the first volume, and was hooked. That was around August to September 2005. I had just turned twelve. Speed up time to almost four years later, and my manga collection is huge. I own around 1000 volumes of manga and have read who knows how many series online.

I still reread it all the time.

I bought three ~ Fruits Basket, Happy Hustle High and Hana Kimi... 😃

Not the greatest manga to start with; I didn't like it that much. I never really have gotten into shoujo. Maybe it's because I didn't like the one that introduced me to the genre XD

Sailor Moon -- It was my first, although I never finished it. What really surprised me was that the manga art was unique, airy, and charming, compared to the clunky anime art. The story seemed to be a better, too. Before, I'd thought that Sailor Moon was ridiculous, but the manga surprised me in a good way. (And thus, a manga purist was born.)

Urgh...I've been reading manga for so long, it's really difficult for me to remember...

I THINK my first manga was Chobits. Someone had lent us the first two books, and I absolutely devoured them. The rest of the series hadn't been translated at the time, however, so I moved on to a bunch of other manga before I came back to it and finally finished reading it.

Ahh...the memories...

The first shoujo manga that i have bought was Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne.
Around 9 years ago O.o
I liked it very much. Good to beginn with 😃

Before that I have watched some shoujo animes.
Georgie! and Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon I liked the most. And now I am reading the Manga, which is in the case of Georgie MUCH better.

First shoujo I started was The Wallflower. Fourth one I read, but first one I finished was Koukou Debut.
