Tenjou Tenge is probably the best example of this. It was never amazing or anything but it was enjoyable and then a while ago the author seemed to lose his mind or at least purposefully attempted to make the manga as confusing and ridiculous as possible.

D-Gray Man also suffered from this, but it was never that great to begin with.

ive read all your post and i dont exactly agree with gantz to much, sure it has lost it plot and seems to be rushing its ass off but because its main selling point is violence i still read it cause i love violence and action mangas also swot is still to new to judge at this point in time

Naruto, Bleach, Onepiece. All of them were good until fillers took over and the authors decided to go more for length than quality. Now they are just terrible series that people read when they have nothing else when they know it sucks. They're mistaking it for its former glory. if I read or watch these I only do the beginning, that's the only time it's been good. 😔

Hunter x Hunter once it reached the ant arc. Not only did the story quality die but so did the art and the characters changed not for the better. The arc is nearly as long as the entire rest of the series and has accomplished a fraction as much plot wise.

I agree with wallflower as well. It has become a never ending cycle of the same rehashed story with no development in the characters.

what are some mangas that started out great but as time went on thy got boring, stupid, repetitive, or anything else. Here my list of those that have fallen for me.

d'grayman - dropped it about 20 chaps ago i hate the art change and find it stupid now

Air gear- close to dropping use to be funny and cool but turned stupid since the obama bitch appeared.

Kurihime-I loved this one but I hate the direction its gone in since the last 30 chaps

Inuyasha- finished it only to finish it, I hated the ending of it

ouran highschool host club- I find it boring and uninteresting now

Vampire Knight- started off interesting but now its like a girl only manga feels like twilight

kekkaishi- Liked it at 1st but then it went to shit then got back up now im like meh when i see it updated

Bleach- I loved bleach so much when it came out but recently its been pissing me off it feels like its gonna end soon with no damn character development for my fav characters and yet hes still introducing new characters the only way i can see it being good is if it doesn't end after aizen.

yeah I agree with you
I dropped air gear ever since obama came out..(not that I have anything against him) it was just "gah-wha?"
D.gray man- I still read but only out of boreddom, the art change is quite displeasing
Kekkaishi-beginning was pretty okay but now...
Bleach-it's a bit iffy I just feel like sighing when I think about this one. yet I still read it lol (the same reason with d.gray man)
inuyasha- started to annoy me after some 100 chapters
HunterxHunter- I really liked the first few 100 chapters but now it's..

Bakuman

Im mainly focus on the protagonist's dream... then out of nowhere, this one character blew me away from the main point of reading. 🙁

Oh my god.. Someone said One Piece 😢

So manga that have fallen hmmm
Naruto, Bleach

It may not have been on the level of naruto and bleach at the beginning but, where went all the humor part of Reborn! ? 😔 I mean it's what got me to read it and I liked it when action arrived, but now it's only action.

Also I'd said Maid sama! ; Hey hey, the girl is the main so why do we focus on the guy's history when we don't know much about the main?

Akuma to love song ; Where did your personality went main girl? Lucky you I love the way you look so I wont drop.

Bakuman ; I think that's enough, how many series will it takes for you to realise that... You should marry her already

I agree, One Piece is the only manga that has 500+ chapters and still getting A LOT better. I thought naruto and bleach were like the best at first, but they suck now. I actually dropped naruto and bleach long ago.

Boy Of The Female Wolf
Her promise was broken SO quickly (and wasn't the promise to her grandmother, like the main point of it all!?), already in the first 10 chapters!!!

Anyone who said One Piece has gotten worse obviously hasn't read it, or just has some personal vendetta against it. I agree with what some other have said, it's the only 50+ volume work that has kept my attention since I began reading it and never let go.

Yamato Nedshiko Shishi Henge - I completly forgot what this manga is about

hunter x hunter
it's still in a special place in my heart, and i cling to the hope that it will pick up again after this ant arc ends (although it'll probably only end in about 10 years because it's on hiatus again)

I've dropped D. Gray Man, Air Gear, and Vampire Knight (why did I get into it in the first place?)

I don't really have much to say other than they just got boring.

I have an exact list as you do. I just can't be bothered with them anymore, they just got too...annoying.

Also, I disagree with Kekkaishi. In my opinion the mangaka actually pulled the conclusion of the series pretty well, though too abrupt. A bit too rushed.

As for Naruto and Bleach, I'm just reading them for the sake of knowing what they are up to.
I have to say I'm really disappointed with Bleach for the new arc.
