You know, those manga where the hero/heroine is wallowing in their own angst.... that they have to avenge something and lead a life of blood, violence, anger, sorrow etc. If anyone can tell me some titles like that, please do!

I can't really say i've read anything other than Claymore and Ubel Blatt with that sort of specification.

I guess Code Geass qualifies though, but it's more of an anime than a manga, not to say there isn't a manga though for it.

I dunno if Death Note can count really, it's more of a clever guy gone bad sorta thing.

Berserk I guess, although you may have read that already

Lol, i was gonna say berserk as well. cause if you read Ubel's comments, all youd see is bashes against it because "it's a rip off of berserk"

But what you're looking for is more like Action series that have pitiful Main characters.

In which case, all i can think of is Berserk. And Violinist of hameln... Oh, and Kurozuka

But here, i think this will work for you.

Action and tragedy search in the series info. More than likely, youll find lots of goodies.

I think Souten no Ken fits, tho maybe too much brotherly love in it.

May or may not want to check out Monster as well. He doesn't go around killing people, but the wallowing in angst and sorrow/trying to fix something he put in motion fits.

Oh, and Kurozuka

Definitely don't miss Kurozuka!!! It's exactly waht you're asking for.

Other choices could be:
Shin Angyo Onshi -> great manga
Vampire Juujikai -> another great manga
Vagabond -> I haven't still read it, I'm only supposing from what other people say about it.

Crimson Cross lots of angst. Lots of sorrow. Lots of suffering. Even though it is a oneshot, it is some pretty depressing stuff.
Dogs Intro to bullets and carnage
Dogs: Bullets & Carnage lots of angst, lots of revenge. Don't miss this one.
Dolls not so much angst, but there is a lot of gore and an interesting plot
Sidooh blood and revenge

I'm looking for a more youthful character but Berserk and Blade of the Immortal seems... nice.

And onizukaa's right: I was looking for more action and blood.... the pitiful hero/heroine justs complements action stories quite nicely.

Too bad can't find vol 1 of Berserk anymore...

He's only in the middle 20s I believe right now in the manga. He isn't that old... Manga also focuses on the time when he was in his late teens and early 20s too.
