And then it goes describing it - time - Edo period and Harima is sort of detective solving mysteries between the thefts...

And then going how great and mysterious series will be... Insipred by the love for Edo period and CE.

I'm surprised at how much anger is coming from some people. I understand their frustration at the horrible ending of School Rumble, I was pissed too, and from the looks of the first chapter from SRZ, it looks like there really will be no chance to even remotely end it properly. But come on, I'm certainly not going to forget that for the majority of 281 chapters, School Rumble was one of my favorite manga. I anticipated the release of each new chapter every week. I'm sure that a lot of people will agree that KJ certainly knows how to write/draw manga based on the 281 good chapters of SR, and if he managed his time properly, or whatever the reason for the rush ending, I'm sure the ending would have been more than satisfactory.

So, he screwed the ending for this good series. Is that enough to condemn this guy for life? No. He's only getting started as a mangaka. Hopefully he'll learn form his mistake from this series, and his next series will get the proper ending it deserves. Mangaka get better as they write more manga. There's no reason to believe that he won't do the same. I say we should wait until he screws up his next series before we condemn him.

It seems its disappointment and only more disappointment from KJ, the first 2 chapters of SRz is confirmed as parodies. Although ill try to be more optimistic since this manga is among my faves of all time, but just by looking at the very cover of SRz first cover with Tenma in a space suit tells me this series will most likely be entirely garbage. If so it probably wont last very long… 😔
