Like somebody mentioned already, I feel some kind of emptiness after finishing manga. I hate it when seinen manga has to end terribly, even more when it's pretty much clear what the ending will be...(though if there were always happy endings, it'd be much worse.) I can't really recall which manga was it, but there was a time when I regreted reading it 😀

Eh, not really cuz I can always go back and re-read it. Also, it gives me a chance to start up a new series!

I also know this feeling of emptiness after finishing a series I really liked. It's the thought: "It's over and the story will never change in the end". Sometimes, it's hard but mostl I'm happy with the ending. I never regreted finishing a series.
I never had this sad or empty feeling after finishing a 1-volume-manga...

It depends on whether I really liked the characters, whether there was a good ending etc.
If I really loved the characters maybe I will feel depressed, because there's no more stories about them, but maybe also a little relieved if it was a long journey.

Perfect example for me was when I finished reading xxxholic, I was in a complete daze and unable to get it out of my head, yes I can go back and read it again, & it would still be amazing but there is nothing like your 1st time. It doesn't help that my hubby pawned our computer the same day I finished reading it. All in all for me finishing a great manga is like waking up after a really great dream, and nobody likes that.

Yes... and like someone mentioned, if I really liked it I'll play it again and again in my head ^ ^;;
But I also get really sad / depressed if it was a really great manga, yet the ending turned out different and not what I wanted (for me recently, it was Yankee-kun to Megane-chan)...

I do get depressed if I really loved the manga or anime. I'm still sad over Nana because its on hiatus (possibly permanently). It sucks because I really love it and I have no clue if the story is ever going to get finished.

I also get depressed after catching up on an ongoing manga. Like I just started reading Vampire Knight this year. I got used to reading like 10 chapters a day and then when I finally caught up I had to wait a month for the next chapter. I guess that's why now I try to stick to stories that are done because long waits make me sad. But if its a really great story I'm gonna be sad when it ends anyways

maybe i'm weird but sometimes it feels like a really bad break up. i start thinking about the manga like, man i really loved you and now you're gone. and even if/when i reread you, its never gonna be like the first time. and like other people have said i feel empty when its done and think about the manga all the time, replaying the story in my head. guess i'm just a crazy manga addict

yes, I tend to feel a little lonely once it's finished - it's the same when reading a book because it's almost like making friends and then having to say goodbye to them. Plus, re-reading it is never the same to me. The first time is always the best =D But then on to the next one!

And like it was said previously, I hate waiting for chapters to come out. I'm currently waiting for new chapters to come out for a couple of mangas that I'm engrossed in and it sucks to wait because one chapter comes out every few months!

Not really depressed, more like lonely. I mean, I've read all the way through this story, gotten to know all those characters and watched all their adventures. And now it's over... 🙁

Not really, since there is so much stuff around to read.

Depends.... is more like an empty/lonely feeling but just If i really love the manga (and this happens only in rare really rare manga) if it was a really great manga, yet the ending turned out different and not what I wanted or just end in a hurry...i'm like: what? now what? what happen with ...? >:-( 🙁 😔

On the contrary, I feel quite satisfied. I love seeing my complete lists get longer and longer!

What makes me depressed is having to add a manga to my "scanlation halted" list.
There are SO many of those...almost 100 now, and counting 🙁

Only if the ending isn't satisfying or their were massive plot holes left unsolved is when it irks me.

Oh yeah! 😲 I really get depressed 😢 after I finished some of the manga I was reading 😎 , but after a minute of sadness I will realize 🤨 I still have some ongoing manga that was waiting for me to read. 😁
