I'm in the mood to read something about a dysfunctional family with strong emotions of anger, sorrow or angst from the MC.
Examples of what fits as a dysfunctional family:

 • Neglectful parents
 • Absent parents
 • Unsupportive parents
 • Emotionally abusive parents
 • Sibling of MC is the center of attention
 • Stepparent being mean to MC
 • Step sibling getting treated better
 • MC always getting blamed for things, or asked why they could do better

Examples of some mangas I've read where the family is messed up
Boku wa Kimi no Tori ni Naritai This great for what I'm looking for

Boyfriend (YAMADA Daisy) The father is good example of a neglectful parent.

First Love - Anata ga Watashi o Sabishiku Saseru The way the mother behaviors here, and even blames the MC for something that happened

Bitter Virgin The father, and mother for how she reacted. Although I really didn't like this manga much.

Dear Green (SAKURA Amyuu) This has the sister as the center of attention, and the mother keeps saying things like why can't you be more like your sister.

Musts:

 • Shows family often, and how they effect the MC
 • Romance
 • Completed or has a decent chunk of it scanlated.

As for genres I'm open to anything , but no Hentai or Yuri. Oh The family doesn't need to reconcile, or mend things, but if they do avoid a corny forced mending.

Bonus points if the MC commits suicide.
Maybe if the one the MC fell in love with died and decide to follow in death.

 • If the suicide thing happens and it's not a romance just say next to the manga's name that's it's not a romance, but bonus points achieved

Thanks in advance for the suggestions/recommendations.

Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan - Short but really good. Has just about everything you mentioned.

You could give ASANO Inio's Nijigahara Holograph a try. Not a romance manga, it would make the whole deal only more disturbing, but a truly mind-blowing experience. Several characters have a more than dysfunctional family but you might not notice it right away since there's so much going on between the lines and frames of this manga. It contains some suicide, but it isn't significant in comparison to the overall amount of death in this work.
All in all, this story requires you to ponder and analyse a lot, so take your time reading and understanding it. I found the discussion thread here on MU useful for clarifying things.

Seconding Oyasumi Punpun by the same mangaka and Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan.

G Senjou Heaven's Door tells about a 'teenage rebellion' sort of conflict. Both protagonists have grown frustrated with their parents for different reasons.

Annarasumanara: This is less of a "fitting what you said perfectly" and more of a "I think you should read a chapters and see if you like it." I'm not good at describing stories, so you should probably just check out the reviews for most of these, but there's absent parents and romance...
Kami-sama ga Uso o Tsuku: This is a beautiful coming-of-age story that I loved. Definitely a dysfunctional family, but I don't want to give away too much. Only one volume long.
Kizu (KIYOHARA Hiro): Abusive parent, child abandonment, distant guardians... this one is also a single volume long.
Nanadome no Gomenne: Yaoi oneshot. I don't really like yaoi, but you don't seem to mind so I put this here anyway. This family is "just" a bit twisted.
Arigatou: uhm..... lot of nudity. No questioning the dysfunctional family part, but as I said, some nudity and crazy.
Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan: this one has already been mentioned several times.
Goggle: One shot about a 10 year-old girl.
Satougashi no Dangan wa Uchinukenai

Around here is where I got bored of looking through the random tags, so I'll just link to some of them below.

absent parents, abusive parents, abusive stepparents, bad parents, distant parents, irresponsible parents, negligent parents, parental favoritism, dysfunctional family, child abuse, sexual abuse, complicated family, family destruction, family drama, estranged family

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I'll add them to my wish list, and get around to them. I feel as if I shifted in reading yaoi atm, but I know I'll slip back into wanting to read these. Now I'll have something to read right when the mood strikes. Thanks a lot everyone. I greatly appreciate the fact that you took the time to post a reply, and extra thanks to MissJanny for listing all those tags. I was at a lost on what tags I could have used to search what I was looking for.
Sorry I took so long to reply, and not thanking each one of you individually.

Thanks again, and still opened to more things to add to my list.

Taiyou no ie is very fitting. It's entirely centered on family relationships.
