Do you read fanfiction?

The really good are nice, but those take time. So why waste it on another's work? Develop your own story, and if it is worth reading, you will get much more respect. Maybe even a book deal or something of like. I had a friend who had that happen to him.
Polite bump.
When I was 12-13, I was in this huge fanfiction stage where I read lots of stories, but after that passed I haven't read a single one, and I've been sober ever since. 😮 You can find some good jewels out there though with impressive writing. I still reminisce sometimes by visiting those old but really good fics.

I love reading fanfiction. I know that most of it sucks but I read it anyways. Guilty pleasures. Well some are pretty good but theyre hard to find

Oh, yes. I read whatever I can get my hands on. The fandoms I'm into are ridiculously obscure (Raskolnikov/Razumikhin anyone?), so I'm always pleased when I can find something.
Usually, I end up writing it. I write slashfic on anyone and anything. I just finished posting a nice one about my history teacher and the guy across the hall from him. I hope it sparks a controversy. XD

Used to read it. Now I don't have time and that time I was starting to get addicted to it so I quit. If you look at my old FanFiction account you'll see a lot of FMA slashfics. Namely, RoyEd, EnvyEd AlEd among other things. xD Now I don't like yaoi anymore.
Paste siggie here. ^^

Actually, for me, I started with original fics and then gradually moved to fanfics. Certain pairings are very inspirational.
My favorite world would probably be the Naruto world. I love the NaruxSasu pairing. That's what got me started on the yaoi :<
(Although I love the SasuxSaku pairing too. Not NaruxHina tho. Somehow, it never quite makes sense to me).
And of course, Fruits Basket is always fun to play around with. So many possible love triangles, and so little time to write them all.
Fics are fun 🙂

Yeah I'm readiing one now...its to do with Greek Mythology and omg its so good.
It doesn't seem to be based around sex either...a good plot - just like a real book. its called 'war and love' if anyone wants to check it out
Cant stand those 'narusasu' ones though.

Unfortunately, I have read some since I've voted in this poll, but it's not one of those things I gravitate towards, nor have I read any for quite a few months.
To tell you the truth, I really don't know how or why I came to read my first one, but they all end up being really bad harlequin novels.

I read some. If something about the real story bugs me, it's nice to read a fanfic that gives an alternative ending. And it's kind of sad when finishing really good series, so fanfic gives me comfort. 🤣
I'll hug your problems away.

Sometimes. I would fit into the group of people who reads fanfiction once every year 🤣

but to one person you may be the world."

"There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so" (from Hamlet, Wm. Shakespeare; Act II, scene ii)
(Even though the quote above is from Hamlet, I first saw it in a Final Fantasy Versus XIII trailer on YouTube ^o^)
I used to read it sometimes, usually when I was anxiously waiting for some book of a series to come out. It calmed me, reading about the characters again.
