A friend asked me to read a fanfic, the plot was enjoyable but I spent 100+ pages unconsiously picking out bad writing. It's the curse of being an English student. T_T

I don't read fanfiction because I don't even really read doujinsi either. Fanctions and doujinsi sometimes gives idea of something else that could have happen in the story which I didn't need to think about. Some mangas are already complicated enough I don't need to read more of "what ifs". This is also why I hate it too when the mangaka themselves draw some "what ifs" at the end of the story, especially if "it was a 'what if' with the main character with someone else". I really hate when they do that. There was one particular manga where it pissed me of that the main character(I don't like her) ended up with this guy (I hate most). The mangaka wrote a "what if" in an omake. The main character could have end up with another character >.> <.< What the heck man. What's the point of this "what if"? Unless you really plan to follow it.

The only time I take exceptions to reading fanfictions/doujinsi is if it's a manga I have never been able to read but I hear so much hypes about. Or if it was written by a member of an LJ community I'm in which are not really active. I feel bad if they post a fanfiction and no one comments on it. I'll go and read it so I can at least give them a comment.

As much as I would like to say no but I am guilty of reading doujin. I read a lot when I was obsessed with a particular series. I still occasionally read doujin when it looks interesting or I want more out of a certain series but that is it. I don't read fanfiction stories that are like the ones on fanfiction.net I've tried once but I could get through it.

Oh, yes. I know. I've read a few that are really well-written, but the majority is just AUGH!

I used to be hugely into Pride and Prejudice fanfic. P&P was an obsession at the time, and what do you do when there's only so many hours and so many chapters? Well, besides watching the other movies...but how different is that from fanfic?

Apart from P&P I have a low tolerance. Although One Piece djs looked interesting at one point.....heh. It was Zoro and Togashi, I think her name is? I never read it, though. sigh 🤣 I don't like yaoi slash, though, or slash where someone in the pairing is paired with someone else in canon. Usually.....there are always exceptions. For instance, I'm very in favor of Charlotte Lucas marrying Colonel Fitzwilliam instead of Mr. Collins....

I guess I read them time to time. Some are too and some are just Bleh. But, either way it's fun to read them.

I used to, but most of them were bad, like really bad. I can't believe that I used to write it too. But the stories I wrote, were really my own stories that "borrowed" the author's characters for a little while.

This is a funny question because I don't used to do this but one day I decided to read snarry (Harry X Snape) fanficions and I got crazy with this. Now I don't can stop to think in Harry and Snape yaoi thinks. I like so much of Snape and now... how can the author put me such like that with an pervert mind (just kidding actually I only think in shounen-ai thinks...).
This have remenber me that I have to read a fanficion about InuYasha ... But I don´t read much fanficions... only when are funny or have my favourite pairing.

I do. Not only that, I write it too. It's a lil embarrassing to say, but yes, yes I do. I write Naruto fanfiction, and read it too. What's so wrong about it! It's the mangaka's fault for not satisfying our fantasies when they draw their manga, 😃

Fanfiction? As in dj?
Not really. Just some random yaoi ones.
I remember really wanting to read a cute one based on "howl's moving castle". (not yaoi)...

I love reading fanfiction. I'm guilty lol. I write some too and they're usually yaoi....can't help it and it's sad to say but I always write about shonen manga, like prince of tennis, naruto, bleach, the likes 😀 😁

BUMP

I have only read it occasionally, I don't find it that interesting, I prefer reading books and manga, they are usually better written.
