On topic: I'm not a frequenter of 4chan, but I go a few times a week. 4chan is just too...messy? I don't know how to explain, but it's a little too much for me.
I do, however, frequent 7chan and 99chan. Also, for those that think 4chan is full of pedophiles, the amount of under age users balances it out pretty well.

Requesters are one of the worst things about 4chan, and the mods are not fast enough to ban them. Seriously, most of the stuff is easily available doing a simple google search or looking a bit in /rs/. /h/, for example, is constantly flooded by stupid requesters who push away all the few worthy content.

One thing that will always be one the internet are, idiots.

Personally, I go to Demonoid and The Pirate Bay for music, unless someone on the internet made a song that I like. Don't know why people go to 4chan for music and get ridiculed when they can go to a torrent site and avoid all of that.

I don't think that requesters are that bad. Sure, a few of them might be too lazy or lack the sense to google it/check /rs/, but most of them are genuinely unable to find the source and have already tried requesting it in /r/, checked google, and looked in /rs/. To be honest, /r/ is one of the most useless boards in 4chan. Most of the posters just make their own requests and leave without helping other people with their requests or actually trying to contribute to the board. People spend many days asking for the source of an image and usually leave disappointed. Why wouldn't you at least try to help them? I mean, it just takes around 2-3 minutes to find the source (assuming that you already know it), and both you and the requester will leave happy and satisfied. On /v/, we usually try to help with any requests we get, and almost never insult the requester (unless it really is a dumb request). And contrary to what you may believe, the source of some images are quite hard to find. Many H-manga and doujinshi usually have japanese names, and people who do not possess a knowledge of the Japanese language often don't know its romanization. /h/ is full of pretentious bigots who are too busy flaming each other to enjoy their porn. Any attempt to start a discussion of something (anime series, H-manga,etc.) usually devolves into an internet fight to see who can personally insult the opposing party more. I once posted a download link to a Tifa hentai flash game, and they reported me just because a few scenes had tentacles. And the amount of reposts there is staggering. Most of the content posted on /h/ are very old and/or has been posted innumerable times.

I normally have to act all nice in forums..but 4chan is so different!
I can cuss out at anyone esp those annoying Twilight/ZomgEdwardishawwt threads that the fangirls made at /b/! <3 Spamming is Awesum too!
