not sure i would survive even if i had weapons....im a terrible shot and as for melee weapons my upper body strength is.......anyway. ive got a copy of the Zombie Survival Guide maybe i should start reading it....

If they're outside and a distance away then the sniper rifle takes the cake. If I'm indoors or they're at a medium distance from me I'd fall back on the shotgun.

Assault rifles would probably use ammo way too fast... one-shot-one-kill rifles and shotguns would be extremely efficient.

Even if you think you can slaughter a zombie in melee there's no sense getting that close to an infection. What if a bit of their flesh splatters in your eye?

I'd keep a sword with me only as a last resort. I'd try to run before ever engaging in melee. The sword would be more of an "Oh shit I'm out of ammo and I let myself get cornered somehow" weapon.

i wear glasses 😀 , but you have a point. To avoid infection due to contact with zombie flesh it would be problematic to cover your entire body and use a helmet (melee with heavy clothing=sauna, helmet=limited range of vision).
So hit and run is a good tactic, too bad ammo is limited (carry an armory in a truck would be sweet)

I think i mentioned a tank a few pages ago......

Anyway, there is an army base relatively near, so assuming that the world is in in disarray and there are not soldiers at the base, i could go take one of those.

Of course, in a world where zombies exist, why wouldn't there be a tank located conveniently down the street?

Do realise that a melee weapon is sort of useless when you get attacked by 20 zombies at time. You hit once, the weapon is stuck... 19 to go.

Me, I'd just round up as much people as I can, raid the stores/nearest army base and barricade ourselves in somewhere.
