I second Welcome to the NHK, and for the record I enjoyed furi kuri, but I suppose I read it after the anime and did look at it as a supplement rather than separate

Well, I saw Ciguatera and Solanin on your Wish List, so maybe you should start reading them. Actually, nearly every manga by the guy who did Solanin, ASANO Inio is a masterpiece (I've probably said this a hundred times on this forum already, sorry)

Also Toradora! (Novel) and Ookami to Koushinryou (Novel).... better than their manga counterparts, IMHO. The females aren't necessarily stronger physically, but they have more 'stage presence'.

If you want a comedy/slice-o-life combo.... the best out there is Yotsubato!.... by far.
