I know basic functions, but when the computer gets damaged (virus or something), I need a technician.

I'm pretty sure that my lvl of experience is.. well.. a little low..
I mostly use my computer for fun (like surffing the net and some games), and for work...
If there is a problem like a virus, I let the anti-virus take care of it.. If the problem is technical, I call a technican..
I guess most people my age are better with computers, because the generation is so tied up with them, but not me...
My father is like 100 times better with computers than I am, and he doesn't even know almost any english >.<
(at least I'm better than my mother, but this is an easy one to beat~.~, nothing to be proud of.. she's.. er.. )
I'm more old-fasioned I guess..
Sorry for the mummbeling (or however it's written) 🤢
So, I choose options 1,6 and 7
Hrodulf and Bjornolfr, you will not be forgotten.

If I had a fantasy self, it'd be a tentacle monster.
i know something of this and something of that, most trouble i can resolve by myself and googling.

I'm on the math-informatics branch of highschool, I've used a comp since '99 (at 7 years old) and had the internet since 2002 (at 10 years old).
I haven't programmed (..yet 😛 ) but I pretty much know my way around BIOS and cmd, I understand the basic structure of HTML, CSS (trial&error 😛 ) and I'm still a complete beginner at Pascal.
I'm pretty close to an expert when it comes to Windows, and now I'm thinking of passing on to Linux (Ubuntu), and I have the talent of making people go "...wtf?!?" when I start my tech blabbering 🙂 .
However, I suck when it comes to hardware ;_;
@Papermaster: I agree 100%. Basic skills and google can solve almost any problem...asides from those when you don't even have internet <_<

Well I mostly do that when the computer gets so annoying and it will be way to much work to get it good again. Like last time when It got bluescreen everytime I came to the desktop.

I used to format every month and it takes around 3-4 hours, prolly even less putting everything back, if you do some work around the house meanwhile you don't even notice. But for that you need to know exactly what you programs do you need and have them at hand all the time on CD's or on the other drive.
Installing drivers and setting up the network is the biggest pain in the rear though <_<
I used a small hdd as my OS hdd like 40giga one, so that I can format it many times as I want till it broke, it's cheap nowadays.
my windows cd included sp2 ^^.
Configuring network has been so easy since xp, and actually installing some program may take longer than to install windows itself 🤢
