as long as it's the same hardware, isn't it easy to make an image (with programs like norton ghost) than formatting and installing it all again? ;p

I tried doing that too until Windows stopped recognizing it.
Now I put Linux on it, it doesn't work, and I can't format it because Windows doesn't recognize it ._.

well i know very well how to use my compter. I use it on a daily basis ,

I have windows xp . customized it to my tastes including skins tweaks and other stuff which makes it equal to vista in many ways including a proper sidebar. [/brag]

Im proficient enough to use the command line and can fix medium level bugs , can handle viruses well enough . Know my way around hardware as well .
I took apart my old computer salvaged the hdd and added it as a secondary hdd to my current comp and i now use that old hdd as a store for manga.
Have decent skills in html and c++ as well.

though it always wasnt this way....
with my 1st comp with the big tv like monitor. Worked well at first but it eventually managed to have some color display malfunction .
I found the best way to make it work normally was pick it up and slam it against the wall, and I dont mean bump it I mean SLAM.
Over time slam intensity had to be increased to make it work , and then each slam would cycle colours of the screen , like - purple mode , green mode , red mode ...

My friends would come over just to see how fucked my comp was , since they didnt believe me whenever I told em.

Well i got a lucky break two years ago and got myself a decent comp and a flatscreen lcd tft monitor. And ive learnt to keep it maintained and promised myself it wont end up as my previous one.

Download the SystemRescueCd (http://www.sysresccd.org/Main_Page) and use the program on it "Gparted"to reformat it. You'll have to boot from the Cd.

Yes, I do a bit of programming for myself and mostly for school, and yes I use Java, it's a lot easier than C++, at least for me

I use my PC to play games and surf the net >.<

Yup, that's pretty much me.

I spend all day (when not in lectures) surfing MU, watching animé, playing DOS games (Simon the Sorcerer and Discworld ftw) and playing H-Games (I don't understand what they're saying, but random button bashing solves everything).
