Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind
Nodame Cantabile
Akira
Town of Evening Calm, Country of Cherry Blossoms
And then the last one is hard, as none of the others I've read are on the same level as the first four.

- Detective Conan (One of the first mangas I've read. Intelligent and sweet, yet gory all the same)
- Skip Beat! (Hilarious, I love the main characters)
- 20th Century Boys/anything by Naoki Urasawa (Awesome, engaging plot)
- H2/Cross Game/ anything by Adachi Mitsuru (Sports manga with romance.)
- Shin Angyo Onshi (I just finished this, so it's fresh in my mind. But I loved it. Utterly tragic, but I loved all the characters).
Honourable mentions: Black Cat, Hunter x Hunter (until bug arc started), Death Note (until a certain very important character died), Bleach, Full Metal Alchemist, One Piece, Eternal Sabbath, Claymore, anything by Ai Yazawa.
Hana-Kimi [#1 always, whores!]
School Rumble
Ouran HSHC
Koukou Debut
Death Note

In no particular order,
- Love Hina - I liked it a LOT more than I expected myself to.
- Flame of Recca - My first manga.
- Kekkaishi - An underappreciated shounen.
- Great Teacher Onizuka - Just great!
- Shin Angyo Onshi (Not exactly a manga, but...) - I've actually stopped keeping up with it because the releases are rather slow, but I plan on reading it from the beginning once it's completed.

If it's a top favorite manga (and not a top best ) then
- Hikaru no go
- Berserk
- Eden
- Hellsing
- 20th century boys
kind of fun I just realized all my favorites are seinen ....except the number 1.
But there is a draw for the 5th place between 20th and Deathnote....

1.Angel Sanctuary
2.Violinist of Hameln
3.D.Gray-man
4.Rebirth
5.Shaman King-mostly because it was my first manga and it makes me very nostalgic ^_^
...I just realized how hard it's to pick just 5 ;_;... most of them are picked more on sentimental value 😛
Others that are very close would be The Embalmer, Berserk, Fairy Tail and Ludwig Kakumei.

- Fullmetal Alchemist <-was a big obsession of mine. Loved it to bits. Number 1 by a mile. The others are in no real order
CCS <-first manga i read, gets in for sentimental vlaue as well as story/art
Full Moon o Sagashite <-gets in for almost making me cry, nothing else has come close
Fruits Basket <- 'nuff said
xxxholic <-I'm such a clamp fan. I like the characters in this
Spiral <- clever, love the art and humour.
I also really like Kagerou Nostalgia and 07-ghost but there havent been enough chapters for me to put them in my list. Kare Kano is up there too, for making me read and enjoy 20 volumes of pure shoujo with not-fantastic art and still love it.
