I read the first chapter of Air Gear, I didn't think it was that great, but you know... OBAMA?! XD Well, in one of the latest anime episodes of To Aru no Majutsu, Touma was watching TV, and his friend Kuroko came up at a press conference with the government and she said "YES WE CAN!" In English... I'm thinking that's a pun on America. XD

Oh! Great should just do what Obata Takeshi did with Death Note and Hikaru No Go. Leave the story and plot to someone else, while he concentrates on drawing. =\

I dropped this after 4 hours of reading.
I just couldn't do it. It was deriding my
brain cells. I don't have a testicle instead
of brain my head.

I said Good Bye to Air Gear since Volume 13. The author is a crazy freak. I hope most of you drop it, ... sincerily.

I basically consider Air Gear as a big joke with good art. The story came to a complete halt after Sora's betrayal. My theory being that after that point Oh!great found a new dealer who had the "good stuff". At any rate, I wish he would quit trying to write story because he clearly can't.
"Through me you pass into the city of woe:
Through me you pass into eternal pain
Through me among the people lost for aye.
Justice the founder of my fabric moved:
To rear was the task of power divine,
Supremest Wisdom, and primeval Love.
Before me things create were none, save things
Eternal, and eternal I endure.
All hope abandon, ye who enter here."

i still want to know who build all that alien looking technology and where the fuck did they get all the money for that 😕 ? As it was stated b4 mangas do go off from the main story line a lot but they also usually make seance. This.... well stuff just pops out of the blue randomly its like the author wakes up every morning thinking " how can i confuse people more and make it so that the little scene the story has left disappears."

I find that if I keep and open mind, it makes more sense. Also, most of the fights are meaningless. I agree too that gang wars to world domination by teenagers is a little out there, but all in all, Air Gear is pretty good

Hurray for crazy obama! He is so "free" skaterolling with kids from Japan! Luckily now we'll get to know about his past!!
Goddamnit! This makes me irate.
Air Gear actually had a much coherent plot than Tenjou Tenge, but ever since Sora has betrayed Ikki the plot has gone from there to... somewhere else... 🤣
I agree.
Definitely, definitely true. I like people with the same opinion as me ;D! For me, I might have accepted that Sora was evil (it actually was quite a shock), but the appearance of Sora's twin brother put the last nail in the coffin. Even in Kilik's flashback, no one even mentioned him and now he's the leader of Genesis. What the hell. Oh Great probably woke up some day and thought "Damn I need another strong bad guy... hm... YEAH SORA HAS A BROTHER! What? No one's heard of him? I'll just pretend that he's been abroad for the entire series moahaha..."
But yeah... even in the beginning you can see that Oh Great really hadn't decided in which direction to send the plot. Ikki living with sleeping forest members who are his enemies no his family no his enemies no wait his allies no wait he has no relation to them. 😕 Anyway... it's really sad since as you guys said, the art is awesome. And some of the characters are nice too.
Hmm, so Oh Great just added another strong bad guy, and If I remember correctly, Genesis, had most of the kings. They even said that they needed Ikki to meet the leader of Genesis who ended up being Sora's brother. So Oh Great didn't just add him to the story. To me it seems like he had it already planned by the time they started talking about the kings.
Anyways this John Omaha character was introduced in chapter 206. And now it's like chapter 226. Why is everybody freaking out about him 20 chapters later?
As you guys can already tell, I enjoy reading Air Gear. Why cause I don't expect anything from this manga since it's a shounen. Hell I read 666 Satan which was a letdown, also which Bleach is doing to me now. But one thing about Air Gear is that I can always enjoy the pretty girl characters.

And that's a perfect reason for us not to complain about a shitty story? If you like AirGear, great for you. Doesn't change the fact that the story is going no-friggin-where. I don't really think he came up with a new bad guy out of the blue, but he certainly seems to forget they direction he was giving to his stories.

The character of Omaha was introduced in chapter 182 in the graphic novel version before he became a sort of main character (at least for this present arc anyway.) I found it funny at first but I'm going to wait and see how he plays out before passing judgement. And yes he was introduced in the graphic novel version of the series not the single chapter magazine versions which are the versions scanlated but it isn't uncommon for Oh Great to make changes/add extra pages for the graphic novel releases. He completely rewrote/redrew volume 14 tenjo.
And Spitfire mentioned Nike being overseas volumes before he was introduced. This is from the original scanlated magazine version.
I've been following Tenjo Tenge for years and while it does seem to go off and make no sense for a while everything does end up getting explained. I keep reading comments by people who claim they can't understand whats going on in that series and it makes me wonder if they are just stupid. Because if something doesn't make sense you read on and in a couple of volumes things come together.
While I'll admit I do get the feeling he is dragging Air Gear out due to its popularity I do believe everything will come together in the end. I'd rather read a series that keeps me guessing and wondering what's going to happen next than a series that lays out everything from A to Z so that any idiot can follow it and predict the ending volumes before getting there.

He took a needle full of cocaine and shot it in his prick
They say he got the gangrene the pain it wouldn't stop
And when he took a hot bath that night his pecker floated to the top

blabla.
If the fact that many of us (including you) still follow this crap doesn't make you wonder if we are stupid, other stuff shouldn't. Get your priorities straight.
