Mimi wo Sumaseba (Whisper of the Heart)
Majo no Takkyubin (Kiki's Delivery Service)
Neko no Ongaeshi (The Cat Returns)

Other that are very close to my top 3:

Tenku no Shiro no Laputa (Laputa: Castle in the Sky)
Hotaru no Haka (Grave of the Fireflies)
Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi (Spirited Away)
Kurenai no Buta (Porco Rosso)

Very hard to choose, but here are mine

Princess Mononoke
Spirited Away
My Neighbour Totoro

Though, in terms of music my favorite is Laputa: Castle in the sky.

Not in any particular order:
Princess Mononoke
Spirited Away
Howl's Moving Castle

But honestly, I've really enjoyed most of them.

Unfortunately, I haven't watched enough Ghibli movies. 🙁 [Oh don't worry, I'm having a ghibli marathon like NOW.]
So far... my rankings are;

  1. Nausicaa (& I'm going to read the manga because I heard it had more developed everything.)
  2. Castle in the sky
  3. Howl's Moving Castle

  1. Howl's Moving Castle
  2. Totoro
  3. Spirited Away

I'd put Grave of the Fireflies as number 3 but it's so soul-crushing that I've never been able to bring myself to watch it a second time.

  1. Spirited Away - First one I watched when I was a kid. I remember getting super freaked out by No Face (though he seems so cute now :3) and those bath spirits. I enjoyed the suspense a lot (and the romance <3)~ Just recently watched it.
  2. Howl's Moving Castle - It was very sweet c:
  3. Princess Mononoke/Kiki's Delivery Service - Tied. Princess Mononoke because I love stories where they fight for nature, and admire Ashitaka and San's spirit XD Kiki's Delivery Service because it was so free and innocent, and I watched it as a kid as well 😀

I haven't seen Nausicaä yet but I plan too~
Castle in the Sky was sweet but didn't really hold my interest.
Ponyo was adorable and so was Totoro. Ahh I love them all.
