I've slept through a hurricane and trees falling, but the sound of my sisters footsteps can wake me up. I really think it depends on what it is. If it's nature? Whatever happens, happens. If it's a person I don't live with? They are most likely goingto wake me up anyway, but I still try and go back to sleep even if a moment later they're shaking me.

I'm not really sure, but if I sleep well through hurricanes and other forms of extreme weather then I must not be a very light sleeper... bigrazz
I wake up to my alarm clock, I just don't get up. roll eyes And on weekends I sleep in pretty long, even though I actually wake up around 9:00 am, and I do stay up late almost every night...and if someone opens my bedroom door when it was originally all the way closed, I'll probably wake up, and if my cat jumps on my bed, I'll probably wake up then, too. I guess I'm a medium sleeper.

I don't consider myself a heavy sleeper. If someone starts talking to me, my alarm goes off, or sometimes when my door opens, I'll wake right up, but there are also times when I'll sleep right through my alarm ^_^;; (but it mostly just happens when I'm really tired).

i'm also one of those freaky people who has everything backwards biggrin

i can sleep through storms, on the bus, through alarm clocks, and my mom's yelling, but i'll wake up at the slightest creak in the house in the middle of the night.

My boys sleep like the dead. Waking them up....ugh... dead They can sleep through anything & everything so far, from cats jumping on the bed, to brother in the bottom bunk puking all over the floor (twice), to the smoke alarm going off, to loud thumps when I drop stuff, to me shaking them and telling them to wake up. I've had to resort to ice cubes on the back & tummy to wake them up! laugh Fortunately (for my sanity!!) they are (so far) naturally early risers so I rarely have to wake them up.

Made me think of the website... and I fortune cookie I once got. It said something along the lines of 'Only quiters go to sleep the same day they wake.'

I'm a semi-light sleeper.... but I'm anemic, so when my iron is extremely low.. I sleep like the dead and for hours on end.

I could be trampled to death in my sleep, lol that made me laugh. Umm the largest thing I did sleep through was a small earthquake but thats it. If someone yells something or there is a car crash outside it wont make me. Only something REALLY loud, or if there is a constant non-stop sound like my alarm clock. if its constant I will slowly come out of sleep.
