I'm starting this thread since none of the other threads are specifically about the latest manga chapters (the only other thread that mentions the manga is about where to download them).

If this thread gets too out of control, we can split the discussions up into a new thread for each chapter, but seeing as this forum isn't exactly busy, it's not needed right now.

Anyways, spoilers for chapter 170

MAN. Asuna got wasted. Given all the times Asuna's punched Negi, I'd have thought that she'd do a little better, but apparently Negi when he's trying is quite insane.

I wonder what'll happen next. I'm guessing Asuna will start doing some major training or unlock some kind of hidden talent.

Also, anyone wanna guess on what'll happen in the wales arc? I'm thinking Anya will become a new love interest (like on the level of Asuna and Nodoka), and of course they'll at least find some clues related to Nagi. I don't think he'll somehow lose his class as that'd pretty much be the end of the manga, so he'll probably get to go back to Japan after the arc is over.

I hope that the other characters who wont be going to Wales aren't just ignored, granted most of my favourites are in the group but I dont think i can last a whole arc. Also, i hate to say it but i hope Kotaro stays as a side character, he just annoys me.

THANK GOD!!! Negi has had years and years of training of various kinds, and I was so sick of Asuna being on Negi's level with almost zero effort or combat experience. I wanna see Asuna earn something for once.

i dont know but she seems to be one of those types in manga the dont try to understand people that they love but instead they try to keep him/her to themselves which i really hate

hey i am currently in ch54? i have a strong hunch here..

i think negi is nagi...he cant be the son of the 1000th masters, since he was missing 10 years ago, and negi is just 9yrs old technically...so how could he father a son who is practically born after he went missing..i think he went missing because something went wrong and he turned into a kid/baby, who is Negi...

Negi was sent to Mah0ra Academy to rediscover what happened to him and to become Nagi again..another puzzle is Asuna's dream, he seems to know Nagi when he was just around 15yrs old when she was a little kid...how come she doesn't have a background?like family or where she was born?and why is she staying at the school, sharing a room even with Konoka, and why does she have the ability to nullify magic..i think she's one of the comrades in arms of Nagi, she was the little kid on the picture..

am i right?right? 😀

i dont think so. sure you can argue that negi looks like his father in his adult form but thiers too much evidence to support that nagi was a separate person and i dont think ken akmatsu is going to put mother son incest in the manga.

my only advice is hurry up and get to where most of the others who read negima are

palabasa, I recommend you catch up. You have over a 100 chapters still to read. Once you get that far, then maybe you'll find more clues to back up your guess~

what i meant was negi is not the father of him self unlike the guy in futurama who became the grandfather of himself
oh and i just reread chapter 54 and i can see why you think negi is nagi. but enough about those 2 i wanna know who negi's mother is. i think she's this person from another dimension who came to this world to escape some great harm and met nagi. after she had negi she decide to face her problem and returned to her previous dimension. nagi heart broken followed her but i dont know how to explain how nagi came back to save negi.

i was thinking... the reason for Nagi Red Wing party to split 10 years ago was because of Asuna.... Asuna is royalty and it do seem like Nagi, Al and Eishun took her away... and i dun think it's too far fetched to think the attack on Negi village 6 years also because of Asuna, since people in the village are all gathered there because of Nagi so probably attackers was thinking Asuna was staying there...
