I was curious so I asked. I say it as "monga" because someone criticized me 😀

I never talk about manga, so it is rarely in my conversation ever, but mentally, I say it like "mango" with an a. 🤣

And I don't give a flying shit who criticizes me for it. 😐

Same happened with me. I usually try to pronounce things correctly in any language and once somebody corrected me, I tried my best to pronounce it the right way and now its a habit pronouncing it the Japanese way.

I pronounce it "monga." My mom pronounces it like shaggie, "mango" like the fruit mango.

I pronounce it the correct way~
Mŭn-ga (?)

It does get weird sometimes while saying it though, because in my mother tongue, "Manga" (pronounced the same way) means "padlock" 🤣

P.S - "monga" sounds wrong when you read it like that though >_>

I pronounce it as "mawngah" and I've never been criticized about the way I pronounce it.

I just say "comics" 🤣

Manga is mango in my native language, sounds weird, so I don't say it.

Manga, whitenized way, most of the time.
Rarely...very rarely, but I do say Monga sometimes, though it sounds very odd. 😐

Nowadays mah-n-gah, the intended way to say it. Before I was like shaggievara, pronouncing it like "mango" but with an "a," but that habit changed after taking a Japanese class and repeatedly reading "manga" in kana.

Well, I used to say mang-a and man-ga but then someone told me it was mang-ga with an ahang sound so now i pronounce it mahn-gha.

I say it the whitenized way, because the only person I talk to about it wouldn't understand the word if I said it properly due to hearing problems.

Even though I know the 'right' way to pronounce it, I'm usually too lazy or too accustomed and end up using the westernized way. 😛

I pronounce it like まんが 😛 that is /ˈmɑŋgə/ in English;
in my native language it sounds the same as when pronounced in Japanese 🙂
