I took a long break, but I'm back. Definitely like how it helps me find obscure works.

I have been here over 15 years!!! I don't consume alot of manga anymore but I keep up-to-date on a few series. I am happy that the layout of the website hasn't changed over the years! I hope mangaupdates never close down.

15 years this summer as a member (since 2009). I did use this site just to browse for maybe a year or two before that. Just to keep tract of what I've read and looking up other works by specific authors mostly. Used to be active at the forums as well up around 8 years ago but with work and family just can't find the time any more.

I've always read raws so I was never interested in scanlations. Used to upload a lot of mostly ~80's manga at jcafe since before joining here until the site shut down. Downloaded tons as well. It was a great resource and a shame it's gone. So much harder to find raws of less known works.

Far-off places with sweet sounding names.
