Again, Light has the psychological profile of a sociopath. Yes, he was insane, regardless of the ending. Light just freaked out because he lost, I thought it was a great and more or less accurate ending, albeit somewhat predictable.

Indeed, if they had focused on Raito ascension to "godhood" rather than trying to remake the first part, it might have been good, the second part after L death isn't worth a dime.

But yeah, most people like L better, myself included. Light's a bit too . . crazy for me. Yet not crazy enough to be hilariously awesome, like Mikami is. xD

While Light was an interesting character in the first part of the manga, the second part portrayed him quite poorly, or more accurately too drunk in his own power. I liked L, and his battles with Kira, but he lost in the end. So none for me, there is no poll choice for Near.
