I simply love Light. I like the I will take this world and shape it my way type of characters.

I'd have to say L...

Although Light is pretty cool... he's good at thinking on his feet. But I feel like, in general, L is more intelligent.

I LOVE Light. He's so atypical and I feel he's a way more interesting character than not just l but any other character I've come across. So far only Lelouch has managed to hold a candle to him in my opinion. I know people don't like him because of his arrogance, especially towards the end of the manga, but his idealism for a peaceful world yet complete lack of morals concerning how he achieves such an ideal, as well as his slow degeneration from human to 'god' in his eyes as his victories mount and his only real competition (L) has gone is way more interesting to me than the freaky genius kid who was isolated due to his intellect and doesn't really change from introduction until death. I like L but only for the challenge he gave to Light and the sociopathic, popular, intelligent, immoral, idealistic, arrogant Light gets my vote every time. sigh if only more characters were stimulating.

The pen is mightier than the sword...and considerably easier to write with.

More votes for L than Light? To be honest I cheered for Light the whole story. I didn't like L at all.

I voted for both, but I think L might just win by a fraction. But Light and Kira are different people. Light is Kira before the Death Note and when he loses his memory, Kira is him when he has the Death Note. Kira's cooler, and evil, Light is (slightly) more caring and not so homicidal. I love Near, too!

I sympathize more with Light, in that he wanted to use the death note to make the world a better place.

Less so with L, who seemed like his purpose was to uphold the old system and adhere to the law.

I can't say I really liked either one of them. I would have liked Light if he didn't resort to killing innocent people.

Still if I have to pick, I say Light.

Light. I wanted to see his perfect world, but that other guy had to ruin it.

I hope theres another version of death note, with light winning, this perfect world of his needs to be brought to the surface

I like both but i'm more partial to L i hated it when L died but then L and light were accually a lot alike kind of like good and evil i defiently wanted to see light's world though 😳
