I went six months without. Film overtook me during that time. And then came photography. Now I'm slowly starting to ease back into the manga scene, but it's really not the same anymore.

I've gone a month without manga. I just forgot about it.
Weird...

It must be because I'm tired, but I thought the title said " Have you ever tried going out with manga?"
I laughed and decided to click this thread. Only to see that I misread the title.

But to answer the question. No, not intentionally. If I'm not in the mood to read manga I won't, but if I want to and wanted to stop for some reason or another ... No the occasion hasn't popped up, and if it did I would probably say **** it gimme' manga. 😀

Yes, for a day, before going to bed. But as soon as my computer was connected to the internet I reflexively open manga site.

As for going out with a manga... I confessed, but it reject me, saying that our world are to different for us to be together. I tried my hardest to convince it that it wasn't a problem, but nothing I said works.

Lol not possible 😀 At least for me.
I mean, I don't read manga ALL the time, but...
I'm pretty sure there hasn't been a single day in these past 10 years that I haven't THOUGHT about manga. 😛
Things like "I wonder how *** will end" or "When is the next volume of *** coming out" are always somewhere on the back of my mind...

It's possible for a few weeks or months when your taking your most important exam that would determine you future.
But when your really frustrated and deprived of manga you tend to break your routine from studying and read a few chapters specially if your favorite ongoing manga had finally had an update. You tend to feel a little guilty but you reason out yourself that your not reading mangas with long volumes (usually 8vol and up).

I can go for a day or week without manga if the situation demands for, or if by no means I'm in a place where there is no internet connections. But to hell, you cannot take it away from me, It literally became part of my life and I will forever love manga!!!!

I can last without manga. its the same feeling w/o being able to watch anime for a whole year. c: Yes, I haven't watch any anime for a year D: because I lost interest with too many harems (the male lead one).

Yeah, at the moment before I can even finish 20 chapters of manga I already get bored.. Unlike last month in which I could finish 100 chapters of manga a day..
Manga isn't just exciting as it was when I first started reading..

I'm actually more addicted to scanlating manga than actually reading it.

I stopped reading manga for 2 years (I wasn't a big fan of long series and only tried long mangas that time), but then I came back reading short stories (1-4 volumes) and it became a daily thing to do (to pass time and enjoy my time in the computer... let's find a good manga to read). Now it is pretty impossible to let go, I'm without my computer and I'm already freaking out to read the new releases somewhere. If I HAVE TO, I can stop, but if I try alone... then, no.
I stopped watching anime, but because it was keeping me busy, manga is short and quick (and I'm more of a reading-person). Letting go of manga is the same of letting go of books, novels, comics, graphic novels etc, so I won't stop (but I can for sure reduce the number of mangas per year).
