I go both ways depending on the manga.

For manga that have anime adaptations that stick to the original story, I opt to go for the anime first and then continue with the manga. Examples are Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, and most of the big WSJ titles.

I watch anime adaptations of the manga I read whenever they come out like Blade of the Immortal, Berserk, Linebarrels of Iron

And in some cases when the anime follows the story of the manga but fails to deliver the same standard of art or storytelling like in, Air Gear, Tenjou Tenge i just read the manga.

I chose "Yes, I go both ways "

Kinda makes everyone who chose that seem bisexual. 🤣

Anyway, I chose it for two reasons. The first is because for some manga, the fight scenes look confusing as hell, and if there's an anime version, then I check it out so that it clears it up for me. And if it's drawn well enough, then I usually keep watching it.

The second reason is because I'll see an anime and like it, but then I'll never know that there was a manga version of it (A recent example would be Black Lagoon.).

I almost always start out with the manga but if it's something where only the anime is immediately available, I'll do the anime first.

Both.
Usually Manga to Anime, but sometimes I go from Anime to Manga. I started reading One Piece, FMA, .hack, Bleach and Naruto after I started watching the Anime.

Both ways. I used to watch anime first, then I started reading the manga first, and now I choose randomly. 🤣

I occasionally read/watch both the manga and anime, with no particular order.
I usually just read the manga, because most of the time the whole anime isn't completely translated, or it's hard to find.

I rarely watch anime unless it was an anime first. Well or a light novel.... or a movie. Not like the bleach movie or sometihng. Just things that got adapted to a movie and not a show.(that doens't happen very much.)

Manga...I'm too time constrained and I find reading the manga gets me through the story faster cause the anime forces you to listen at their pace...

🤣 I wonder who here answered differently from the other thread 🤣

Yes, I go both ways 😉
It usually depending on what I find first.

Anime going to manga:
I remember when surfing the television, there were several anime that I found quite interesting (Beck, Basilisk, Trinity Blood).
At that time though, I actually didn't know there were manga versions of it.

Usually I switch from manga to anime while the manga is still continuing. Kuroshitsuji is an example (currently, both anime and manga are ongoing here.)

If the manga was finished, I'd go read that, but since it isn't, I'm sticking with the anime because, most likely, it will finish first. Then I continue back with the manga.

Both. Generally speaking if I watch and enjoyed an anime series and find out later that it was adapted from a manga, I'll go ahead and read the manga. But if a manga series I am reading/read has an anime adaptation, I'll rarely watch the series since I prefer watching anime with original plots.

For me it's manga then anime. Usually that's how I approach it so I can complain/praise the anime. Though if the manga and anime run side by side then I might just do both at once.

I'll usually only watch the Anime or read the Manga, I seldom do both in either order.

In general I'll go for the Manga first, but sometimes the Anime.

When I actually watched anime, I would watch the anime and pick up where the manga left off, like I did with Naruto, Bleach, ES21 and part of D Gray Man. Now I just read manga~
