OMG Japanese food is my life! x3 I'll be heading for Japan in 9 days for 2 weeks. This'll be my chance to try lots of new Japanese foods! x3
Anyways, my favorites (of the ones I tried) are...
- Sushi (unfortunately I can only eat pre-cooked sushi)
- Oyako-don
- Steamed rice/Onigiri
- Daifuku
- Tempura

Ramen.
Apparently, that's the only Japanese food that I tried and like. But I also like chicken teriyaki as well.
I read so much mangas, I'm too lazy to watch anime! 😛 😛 😛

They may have originally been Chinese foods, but I bet the Japanese version is different enough to qualify as "Japanese foods of Chinese origin" or something like that. 🤣
Japanese curry is another favorite...and please don't tell me "curry is Indian", Japanese curry is significantly different from Indian. It may not be a traditional Japanese food, but it is Japanese.

LOL....well I live in the US, king/queen of "take-it-change-it-make-it-different"; lots of foods we eat regularly may have roots in Europe or Asia or wherever but the current version is different enough to be considered American. (I've never been to Italy, but from what I've heard, pizza as served in the US is most definitely NOT "Italian". 🤣 )

okonomiyaki
had that in Osaka. it was SO good
Teriyaki! Do snacks count? If so I like melon pan(It reminds me of the mexican concha bread but softer) daifuku, and the mochi ice cream!
I love Japanese everything but their cuisine has never really appealed to me. The idea of raw food is disgusting.
