FIFA WORLD CUP 2010
First teams through:
Argentina and South Korea.
Greece had a few chances you know. I wish they bothered to play like that in their first game. That number 19 player stuck to Messi like glue and nearly had him out of the whole game.
Much better performace overall though from them. When you have to make 3 early subs and you have a near whole team of defenders there's not much you can do.
I was also deeply pissed off with the commentators we had on the BBC. They practically rinsed the whole Greek team for the entire match.
I didn't see the Nigeria and South Korea game. I wish I did bother to watch it - More goals 🤣

Ghana has to win. come on it's an African world cup we can't have all the African teams going out now can we.

just wondering.if Portugal lost to Brazil lets say 1-0. How many goals will Ivory Coast need to score against north Korea to go through?

It's goal difference, so every goal Brazil scores (if Portugal doesn't score) it's one less goal Ivory Coast would need to make.

I'm surprised as to how much Algeria plays an open game. They're not just defending against USA.

well it' over now. England and USA are going through. today really is an interesting day. group d is going to be sorted in a couple of hours. i want Ghana and Germany to go through. which is possible if the draw and Serbia and Australia draw 0-0. we have to at least have one African team go through.

England through, USA through. Happy Days. Now I'm hoping that Ghana and Serbia qualify, I'm sorry Germany but I don't want you in the last 16.

They have to make up a goal difference of +9 i think. So if portugal lost by 1 goal then ivory coast would have to score 8 goals to be level with goal difference and so i guess then 9 goals to go to the next round.

Oh dear tense times over here in England 🤣
Everyone in my common room was on the edge of their seat near the end of that game. My god it was tense. England don't make it easy for themselves or the fans XD
Ghana to win tonight please. Sorry Germany, I do not fancy playing you next round.
