The best team won. Although Spain's goal is offside.

About Ronaldo it's not all his fault but he doesn't help the team either. You don't see ronaldo pressuring the opposing players something every player has to do even strikers. Yeah he is the second best player in the world but maybe he should go to the bench for a while to think a bit about the way he is playing.

Coentrão made a good first half and Eduardo was amazing all game.

Who cares. The better side won.
Llorente was a great sub. seriously why didn't they do that at the beginning.
that match belonged to Xavi, Llorente and villa they made the game interesting.

what the hell was was Portugal doing? their whole game plan was to conceive no goals and attack on the break if that fails score, with set pieces. what do you do when you concieve a goal and your opponent don't want to give you the ball? they had no back up plan. Ronaldo, what the hell did he do? am not even sure if he touched the ball. The ball possession was 62 to 38.

what was Danny trying to achieve with those half-ass crosses? Portugal are a great team but they should be an all-round playing team and not a defensive playing team. it doesn't matter if you have one of the best strikers in the world, it means nothing if he can't even touch the ball.

i loved that Ref only two cards throughout the game. though i think that red card should have been a yellow instead.
no matter how you see it the game was over the moment Spain scored. it became even more obvious when Spain started that passing game near the end.

The better side Won.

I was so angry yesterday during the Portugal game, man i felt like going to South Africa and punch Queiroz in the face. He should have never gotten the position in the first place. Eduardo had to be the player of the game, what a great performance. But if only Ricardo Costa and Pepe weren't in the game i think we could have had a better performance.
Spain was better in the end since we couldn't create the direct style of attack and since they beat us i hope they win the World Cup, either them or Argentina.

Spain vs Portugal was depressing. What a let down from portugal. We lost to such a weak team. I'm dissapointed in the defensive choice of play. No one was feeding the ball to ronaldo enough, it was just an awfull loss to spain who in my opinion won't go far.
The manager fucked the team up with his defensive play. We should have had a better manager, portugal has better talent than spain.
Argentina or Brazil have this in the bag. I predict this now.

Portugal is always playing defensive when their oponent isn't on N. Korea's level 🤣
I'm glad Spain ass kicked Portugal (which was clearly the weak team), so they'll at least make it to the semi-finals and face probably Argentina.
While Brazil is pretty much in the final already.

Go Spain!

I don't know, Spain did pretty well against Portugal!
Consider this: Portugal really only has Ronaldo as a "star player", while Spain has David Villa, Torres, Xabi, etc - many, many talented players.

Nothing Spain has done in the World Cup supports them being a weak team. Every match they've played, they dominated time of possession and created many scoring opportunities. They were unlucky in their loss to Switzerland. When Switzerland scored the only goal, Spain outnumbered Switzerland 14 shots to 2. In their match against Portugal, it was same story, different chapter. They were in control for almost the whole match, even with such a low score. I'm surprised the score wasn't worse than it was, although Portugal did have a couple golden opportunities, but like Spain against Switzerland, they were unlucky. And the one thing about Spain that I really took notice to in their match against Portugal is their ability to pass the ball. They pass the ball better than anyone in the tournament. That's why they dominate possession and create so many scoring opportunities in all their matches.

I'm not saying they're the odds on favorite to win the whole thing, but they have as good a shot as Brazil, Germany, Argentina, and the Netherlands. And if the Paraguay-Japan match was any indication, Spain should have a clear shot to the semi-finals. So yea, they'll make it deep into the tournament.

It's been a while since I posted here. So, I'll make a quick recap. Uruguay looks pretty good. USA's defense and strikers blew it's best opportunity to go deep in the tournament. Germany-Argentina is gonna be an awesome match. Netherlands-Brazil could be as well. Paraguay didn't impress at all. I said my piece on Spain.

Ball possetion doesn't mean you'll score. If you fail to shoot when its go time then thats a problem. Spain was not very good at shooting im sorry to say. They wasted the oportunities they did create. The offside goal is how they won and with ball possetion as your asnwer to them being great? Bah.
I will watch and see how they "thrash" paraguay. I think every one has now assumed spain will win 🤣 Ball possetion doesn't mean victory, you need to finish the job.

assumed win vs paraguay.
RE: its football and i'm not saying paraguay will win but i don't think spain is as great as all that. I will watch the match and see for myself.

But you must possess the ball in order to score. And they're as good as it comes to possessing the ball. And what makes them a great team isn't their ball possession, but their passing. Yea, they probably could finish better, but you also can't disregard the fact that Eduardo made 3 or 4 great saves in that match. Anything short of perfect goalkeeping would have resulted in goals. Also, no one has assumed Spain would win it. From all the experts I've heard, and from what I heard fans say, the favorites are Brazil, Argentina, and Germany. Others have said that the Netherlands are the under the radar great team to look out for. No mention of Spain being a lock. And maybe you can tell me what it is you saw in the Paraguay-Japan game that makes you think that Paraguay won't get thrashed? Maybe Spain didn't finish like a great team should, but they played a great defending team. Paraguay played Japan and got shutout. Not impressive at all.

Personally, I don't see how Spain CAN'T win against Paraguay.

Judging from their last performance I really think that they're the crappest team I've ever seen.
Forget about possession. They can't even pass the ball right - let alone hold it.

I'm still wondering how the hell they've gotten so far.
Daaaaamn lucky bastards.

I don't. Argentina to win that game.

Ahh Scyfon, the bitterness is still dripping from your posts 🤣 I don't blame you for being bitter either. Paraguay were lucky, no doubt about it.
